Dorothy's POV

Doctors live in a world of constant progress and forward motion. Stand still for a second, and you'll be left behind. But as hard as we try to move forward ... as tempting as it is to never look back the past always comes back to bite us in the ass. Hailey wheels an older gentleman in a wheelchair with Izzie following right behind her.

"What is going on?"

"Izzie broke out our old high school teacher from the retirement home to get treatment. I was able to calm the staff down promising that he's going to be here. Do you think you can help him?" Hailey asks me.

"Why are we asking the retard? She doesn't know anything." Izzie says and I turn to face her.

"It is nice to see you again Miss Stevens." I tell Izzie before turning to face Hailey.

"I can help him. But first I have to let Grace know. I am on her service today." Hailey nods before I page Grace and we headed to a patient room.

"This is not Chehalis. Where the hell are we?" The man asks the girls.

"We're in Seattle, Dr. Singer. And this is Dr. Dorothy Robbins-Shepherd, my friend. This is Dr. Joel Singer. He was our high school science teacher ... a brilliant man. He really fought for me and he's the reason I became a surgeon." Hailey says introducing Joel and I to each other.

"I appreciate your taking the time to see us, Dr. Robbins-Shepherd, but I promised Isobel's algebra II teacher that I'd have her back in time for fifth period." Dr. Singer tells me when Grace enters the room and I introduce the man to her.

"He's confused. The nursing home diagnosed him with Alzheimer's. But he's been falling a lot lately, and I think he could have a bleed." Izzie says and Grace takes a good look at his outfit.

"Well, he's wearing pyjamas and an overcoat. What did you do, sneak him out in the middle of the night?" Grace asks the girls.

"Izzie snuck him out earlier this morning and when I saw her bring him to our hospital, I decided to bring him here. I informed the retirement home and they will need one of you to phone them to let them know he's safe." Hailey tells us.
