Today is the day that both May and Serena take part in the Pokemon contest here in Slateport City. While May is confident that she'll do a good job to impress the judges during the contest, Serena, on the other hand, was nervous as well. This is how it was when she entered her first showcase back in the Kalos Region, she was nervous back then, and I can tell she was nervous. 
Once the three of us got to the contest hall, I can see that Serena's body shaking with fear. Maybe I can do something to ease her nerves. She was need to be at her best if she wants to win this whole thing. 
"Hey, you're going to do great, Serena." I said with a smile.
"Really? You think so?" She asked me. 
"Yeah, I know!" I replied as May was about to say something else. 
"And don't forget, even if you don't win this contest, there will be other contests throughout the Hoenn Region." She said. 
"Yeah, I know, but..." Serena said while looking down at the ground.

"This is a whole new challenge for me... what if I am not cut out for it?" 
This is not good... Serena is starting to get discouraged. It was starting to become obvious to May and I. 
I had to do something in order to help her feel at ease, and I think there is only one thing to do.
