Starstreak

Starstreak pulled her sword from her most recent attacker's body with a sickening noise and a grunt. The soldier crumpled to the floor, dripping crimson.

Heavy footsteps thundered from behind Starstreak, and she whipped around just in time to clash weapons with another Sanistery soldier. Their body soon collapsed, lifeless like the many before.

Starstreak's cheeks hurt from the grin that had never left her face as she'd carved through soldier after soldier as they came at her. She watched Seth, slim but agile making his way through opponents on his own time.

Starstreak looked around for whoever wanted to charge at her next, her next spot of fun, and spotted Lunae somehow managing herself just fine, much to the Glacian's surprise.

The Sanistery girl didn't wield any weapon though her hands glowed ethereally green. Without her even having to lay her littlest finger on them, soldiers dropped their swords and not long after dropped to the silver, red-splattered floors and did not get back up. All Lunae had to do was dodge and weave her way around the soldiers' various attacks and she'd be fine.

A body slammed into Starstreak, rudely interrupting her person-watching. She stumbled and her sword escaped her grip, sent spinning across the ground.

Starstreak grunted and cursed in surprise when she realised a dead soldier's corpse had been thrown at her as she stared up into their lifeless gaze.

The Glacian shoved the body off of her and was yet again caught by surprise when a hand wrapped around her throat and slammed her head down into the cold floor.

Starstreak growled as her mismatched eyes connected with a violet set. Cassander, Lunae's apparent old friend, pinned her to the ground and put his sword to her neck.

"Would you convince her to stop this?" Cassander asked through gritted teeth, he gestured in Lunae's direction with his head.

Starstreak barked a laugh, "Fuck no! Even if I would she wouldn't listen, she'd go into a long monologue of defiance or something." Starstreak snickered.

Cassander's grip on her throat tightened, and the Glacian's smile and mirth faltered as she struggled to breathe.

She drove her knee upwards into Cassander's back. He lurched forward and his grip loosened. Starstreak grabbed his wrists and twisted, reversing their positions.

Starstreak snatched the Sanistery soldier's blade and attempted to plunge it into him. She'd been aiming for his heart, but the teal-haired man below her had gripped her wrists and forced the sword away.

It stuck weakly in the ground next to Cassander's head but had sliced deeply through the top of his shoulder.

Cassander lifted up as much as he could and headbutted Starstreak. Their horns smacked together shooting pain through her entire skull.

Starstreak attempted to pull her wrists back and when that didn't work, she only pulled them back with enough force to have one of Cassander's wrists high enough for her to snap her jaw shut on it.

Her sharp teeth sunk into flesh, and a metallic taste filled her mouth. Cassander cried out and the hand Starstreak had bitten released the wrist it was holding.

Cassander hissed and went to regain his hold on her, but Starstreak smacked his hand out the way and slammed her fist down on his eye. She sprung behind his head and grappled Cassander in a headlock.

The Sanistery soldier clawed at Starstreak's arms, Starstreak only tightened her grip, her smile blooming once again, a burning behind her eyes sparking.
