Lunae

Lunae was tired. She couldn't ignore it, not for very long anyway. Using her magic against its intended purpose and using it so much in quick bursts in such a small frame of time was taking its toll.

But she could not, she would not give in. This had to end, and she had to be the one to do it. She had to prove to herself, to the others that she could and had truly changed.

Lunae didn't know how, she didn't know if cutting Kazimir where it was vital would work. Kazimir's power was different from hers, his was made to inflict harm and maim. He'd proven it too many times and it had to stop.

"If you can get me to him, I can end this," Lunae tried to sound confident though she wasn't.

She cast a side glance at the people that were on her side, out of necessity or not. Akira caught her eye, she had heard Lunae. The blonde just considered her for a moment, she swapped a quick look with Neyco as she seemed to always do before deciding anything and gave Lunae a single nod.

As if it had been standing still, reality restarted and senseless battle once again flooded the room. Except this time, Lunae knew where she was headed, and she knew there would be someone making sure she reached it.

Lunae narrowly avoided a soldier's sword slicing dangerously close to her neck and as soon as she caught sight of the soldier's wrists, her gut clenched, and she did what she had to.

She turned away and was immediately met with another weapon. But it was too fast and Lunae was too slow. She inhaled sharply, her teeth snapped on her tongue, and she raised her arms in front of her face. But no blinding pain or cold death came.

Lunae moved her arms away from her face to find Akira swiftly cut down her attacker.

The blonde turned to her, "You want to end this? Let's end this." She was coldly determined.

Lunae blinked stupidly, but quickly shook herself out of it. Akira gestured with her head in Kazimir's direction and Lunae followed her as the hunter helped make a clear path.

Lunae did what she could stomach, though she was trying to build her power inside her. She didn't know how she did it or what she did to almost kill Starstreak, but she knew it would take everything inside of her to keep up against Kazimir anyway.

Neyco appeared at some point, and Starstreak and Seth blinked in and out. But eventually and inevitably Kazimir realised what they were doing. They were close now.

Lunae connected eyes with her brother, his face contorted into a snarl that was also a look of vague amusement.

"Keep moving!" Akira yelled.

Lunae didn't need to be told twice. She balled her fists and made a run for it. Made a run for Kazimir. She manoeuvred past soldiers clamouring for her and rushed to Kazimir. He did not move, he watched her, he let her come to him. His eyes which matched her own were confident and held a crazed kind of danger.

"Do you really think this is going to work?" He snided as Lunae stopped a short distance in front of him.

They seemed to be trapped in a bubble, a small pocket of the universe unaffected by the raging fights that Lunae had emerged from.

"Kaz this has to end," Lunae shook her head.

"You're right, it does," Kazimir wore an unreadable expression. "Looking back, maybe I should've just killed you straight off instead of Elara. She would've been much more perfect, much less complicated than you have proven yourself to be. You cannot heal all the wounds in the world at once, Lunae. You cannot be a saviour when all you've managed to do is sit by and watch others take."
