In the dimly lit night, only a faint moonlight shone through.
Lisa's heart was surging, his almost collapsing heart beating wildly as he stiffened his hand and quietly looked down at her.
The beautiful girl leaned against him, a strand of hair brushing against his neck, bringing a tingling sensation. She slept soundly, in a dependent posture, as if they were already a couple who had been together for a long time, or a real husband and wife.
The room was very quiet, and the warmth made people drowsy. But Lisa could no longer sleep. Soft light shone in his eyes, his fingertips curling up, but he could not resist the inner longing. He quietly reached out and hugged the girl in his arms.
In the night, the holly in the garden rustled in the wind.
As Lisa's empty and confused heart was filled with surging emotions, a warm feeling washed over him.
The darkness covered everything, but he finally summoned the courage to hesitantly reach out and smooth out her messy hair.
Then, he quietly withdrew his hand and felt the warmth of his fingertips in the deep darkness.
That night, he watched the girl in his arms until a faint light appeared on the horizon, and then he fell asleep.
After a period of recovery, Lisa's cast was finally removed from his foot.
Without mentioning anything about separate rooms, the two of them naturally slept on the same bed.
Although they had separate blankets, the girl always silently rolled into Lisa's arms in the middle of the night.
He felt both sweet and pained. Often too excited to sleep at night, but the thought of sleeping in a separate room from her was unbearable.
Not long after his recovery, Lisa had to return to work at the company.
The weather had turned cold, and the chilly winter wind was blowing.
After dinner, Jennie quietly pulled him into her old room.
As he watched their hands interlocked, a smile unconsciously appeared on Lisa's lips. But when the girl turned to him, he immediately suppressed it.
"Here, for you."
It was a pink and blue bag with a beautiful butterfly knot tied at the handle.
Was it a gift? Lisa's eyes lit up, and he almost couldn't wait to take it.
"Quick, open it and see."
He followed the girl's request, his fingers trembling as he untied the silk ribbon.
Inside the bag was a light blue plush toy, but he couldn't quite make out what it was. With a hint of confusion, Lisa took out the item and unfolded it, only to realize that it was a blanket.
His body stiffened for a moment.
Could it be that she had personally knitted this?
The man looked down at the blanket, noticing the not-so-neat stitches, and felt his heart skip a beat.
In the next second, the girl spoke up: "I knitted this. Even though your leg cast has been removed, you still need to keep warm in the winter."
The soft texture of the blanket in his hands made Lisa hold his breath for a second. His head felt dizzy, as if the sky had started raining candy. His heart, which had already lost control because of her, was now filled with sweetness, and he dared not even jump anymore.
The powder blue blanket was the color of the sky, with a few fluffy white clouds embroidered on it, giving it a warm and playful look. His nose tingled with a sourness, feeling like he had been living in a dream since waking up every day.
