--- MARYAM SHEIKH ---
When Adam gave me the lilies, I didn't had the heart to tell him I was allergic to flowers. But he realized it anyway since my nose started turning a bright red and water ran through my eyes.
"I'm really sorry, Adam," I said sniffing at the lilies and threw them away as far as I could. "But I just can't-,"
"Wait a minute, let me guess," he interrupted. "You are allergic to flowers?"
"Hang on, I have a medicine for it in my first aid box, follow me."
He seemed to really panic because he literally ran towards the house while I followed with my handkerchief covering my face. I heard a curious
"Where are you going looking like that?" from the back.
I turned around and saw Zaid looking at me with his eyes screaming confusion. I definitely didn't want to face him like this. I paused to look in the hallway mirror and saw that my face was turning a nasty red and water consistently ran through my nose.
"Are you sick?" Zaid came and stood before me, his face full of concern.
"Look, this is clearly not an opportunity to make fun of me. I'm at a crucial situation right now!" I said sharply, moving away from him. But he followed me anyways
"And thats why I'm asking if you are sick!"
Zaid stood there stubbornly with his arms folded, waiting for me to say something. So I had to give in while as some of my cold calmed down.
"While we were in the garden," I started. "Adam gave me some flowers and-,"
"You took them?" He said that as if it was offensive to him.
"Well, yeah," I said, not knowing why he felt it hurt him. "You know how I love flowers!"
He gave a snort at this one. "Pfft, oh please! I saw how you used to pluck the life of all the roses you got back in middle school."
I can't believe he still remember those things. Part of me loved flowers but had to turn them down because my body couldn't stand it.
"Come with me," Zaid ordered and began to walk, "I'll call our doctor. He'll know what to do."
We heard a loud ruffle of footsteps behind us.
"Oh, there you are!" Adam declared, panting as if he was running, relief running through his face as he saw me. He held out a packet of tablets and some eye drops.
"I remember I had these from a weeks ago and if you take one tablet now then you'll be-,'"
"She won't be needing that," said Zaid all out of a sudden. Me and Adam both turn to look at him in suprise. He seemed firm about his decision. "She'll be seeing the family doctor, whom I'll call at once."
Adam laughed at this and said, "But Zaid, I am a doctor."
"Not enough for me, you're not."
Zaid signalled me to follow him and went towards the upper floors. I handed Adam back the medicines and gave him an apology look before heading after Zaid.

"There, dearie. Don't you look much better now!"
Zaid had led me to his aunt Clarisse's room and she quickly rummaged through her closets before handing me a tablet from a pale blue box.
"But Adam had a green one with him," I remarked, gulping the medicine down with some water one of the maids handed me. I think I almost caught Zaid rolling his eyes at my comment.
