I walked out of the tent. Enid smiled at me. "OMG you look Purr-fect!" I looked at her. "I even did the whiskers just like you asked." She smiled hugging me. I hugged her back. We now were in our boats. I sat behind Enid. Wednesday nodded at me. I turned to look at Xavier and he did the same thing. We made eye contact. We haven't spoken sine Thornhill's class. "What do we have here?" I looked at Bianca. "The run of the litter." I rolled my eyes. 'Oh, for the record. I don't believe I'm better than anyone else. Just that I'm better than you." I smirked and looked away. Biancas face held shock. "I want to welcome you all to the Edgar Allen Poe Cup! This is one of Nevermore's proudest annual traditions. Dating back 125 years. Each team must row across the raven island. Pull a flag from the crack stones crypt. and hustle back without sinking or being sunk. Frist team that crosses the finish line wins the cup and bragging rights for a year! As well as some special privileges. Let the poe cup begin!" and with that we were off. "Come on guys! Paddle faster!" boat came next to us and almost tried to cut our heads off with their axes but we ducked. Not soon after their ship was pushed and sunk into a bowe.I saw the tail of the Siren in the water, and I looked at thing. "Thing." He flipped a switch which released a net hopefully catching the siren. Once we got to land, I stopped Enid from coming with me. "Stay here and make sure Bianca doesn't sabotage our boat." I ran off. As fast as i could, I passed by Ajax and Xavier on the way to get the flag. "Later Nora!" I heard Xavier yell. I rolled my eyes. But as i grabbed the flag i had a vision.

I was in a forest. I looked around. I didn't know where i was. But when i turned back around i saw a girl. She looked like me. Except blonde. "You are the key." I was confused. Then i woke up on the ground. I looked at the tomb stone. And then got up and ran with the flag. I laughed as we passed Xavier's boat as it sinked. I smiled at him. "I just asked myself. WWWAND. What would Wednesday and Nora do." I smiled at her. As We got close to Bianca and her boat I flipped a switch for metal arrows to come out and pierce their boat. But we were pushed away. When we weren't pushed away anymore i smiled and paddled back to Biancas boat. We hit her boat and i smirked at her. I grabbed Enid's hand, and we held the flag together and ran past the finish line. I hugged Enid and she hugged back. "This is the greatest moment of my life!" I smiled and looked at Bianca. She looked at me. Anger filled her eyes. I just smiled and turned back to enid.

We now stood in the quad as Weem's talked. It was now starting to get a bit overwhelming that everyone was talking me smiling at me. I wasn't used to this. I walked away and into a conner. Where I found Wednesday. She didn't acknowledge me. I sat down next to. I looked at the statue that I was sitting on. Then I noticed the book. It had that symbol on. The one on the page. Wednesday noticed too and we looked at each other. Enid walked over to us. "What are you two doing?" I looked at her. "Enid everyone keep smiling at me and trying to talk to me." She gave me a look. "And? You beat Bianca Barclay! Just take in the moment!" I sighed and followed her out. I stood at a pillar leaning on it. "It's good to see you fitting in. You know last time Ophelia Hall won the poe cup. Your mother was captain. And I was co-polit." I looked at Weems.

"You two are more alike than you think." I have Weems a look bit didn't respond. I knew she was right. Hell I even joined the archery club per her request. Well I mean I also wanted to join it. So mainly my fault I guess. I walked off towards Enid's table and her friends. I talked to a few people. But other than that I sat back and listened.

I was woken up by Wednesday. "Come on." I gave her a look. "What time is it?!" She pulled me out of bed and made me put on my shoes. I was still in my pajamas as we walked to the statue we were at today. Since I was still alseep Wednesday was able to figure out the code and a door opened. She pulled me along. "Wednesday what are we doing?" I groaned. She only shushed me. I just wanted to sleep. Once we were down the stairs I looked around. "That's the mark that was on the page." Wednesday gave me look. "Look. I'm half asleep so you can't judge me if my mind isn't fully working." I rubbed my eyes and she rolled hers. We looked at a the paintings. That's when I saw one of Wednesday's parents. Mine weren't here. At least I thought.

She pulled me along as she scanned the books. She pulled one out. Flipping through the pages. That was the book that the page was from. I looked from beside her. We were about to walk out but a bag was put over our head. I groaned as I felt my hands tied to a chair. A bright light shinning in my eyes. "Who dare breach our inner sanctum." I sighed. "You can take the mask off Bianca." I glanced at Wednesday. I watched as everyone took their masks off and my eyes landed on Xavier. "Wait I like it better with it on." I looked at Bianca. "How'd you get down here?" Xavier spoke up and dolled my eyes. "Rowan showed me. Left pocket." I looked at Xavier as he stuck his hand in Wednesday pocket. I glared at him. I don't care. Even if I wasn't mad at him or anyone right now. I was tired.

"I checked the watermark from the page and then Poe statue. Then I solved the riddle." I looked at Wednesday. Did all this happen while I was half asleep?! "Wait there's a riddle? I thought we just snapped twice." I gave the guy a look. How stupid can you be. "Well aren't you the brightest in the bunch." I said and I tried to untie my hands. "The night shades are an elite social club. Emphasis on elite." I looked at Wednesday. "We have roof parties, campouts, the occasional midnight skinny-dip." "And Yoko's an amateur mixologist." I looked between everyone. "She makes a killer virgin mojito. It can get pretty wild." I looked down. Blinking my eyes. I felt a presence come next to me and I looked up. Xavier stood next to me. He glanced at me but didn't say anything. "Wow. Do you guys even have a bed time?" I smiled a little at the Wednesdays comment.

"Last I heard the Night shades had been disbanded." I didn't here about this so i looked at Wednesday confused. "Yeah, the group kinda of lost its character 30 years ago when some normal kid died." I glanced at Xavier. I hid my smile as I was able to untie myself. But held them behind my back acting as if they were still tied. "But we have a lot of wealthy alumnialumni, so Weems looks the other way while no one makes waves." I nodded at this. "Someone like Rowan?" I asked. Bianca gave me a weird look. "We booted that poster last semester. Question is, what are we gonna do with them? only members are allowed in the libary." I looked around. No one said anything." "I say we invite her to pledge." I looked at Xavier shocked. "They have a legacy." Xavier pointed out a two photos. My mom. And Wednesday's parents. "After the crap she pulled in the Poe cup. There's no way in hell. We talk about now making waves. They're a tsunami." I gave Bianca a look. "No one likes a sore loser. Plus were not interested."

"You're seriously turning us down?" I rolled my eyes. "Can you believe it?!" I asked sarcastically. I felt Xavier's gaze on me. "Untie them." I pull my hands from behind my back. "We freed ourselves ten minutes ago." Wednesday said as she held up her rope. I put my hands in my lap. Everyone looked around shocked. I stood up following in Wednesdays steps. I looked at Xavier and took the paper from him. That fish guy stood in front of us as we were making out leave. "Do you want a matching black eye?" I looked at him. Wednesday gave him the rope and we both walked up the stairs. Of course Wednesday pulled me along. We made it back to the dorm and I immediately gave up. Face planting on my bed. Going to sleep. Wednesday stayed awake.

My 4th of July was crazy.... There were no clouds in sight and all my family was outside and then it got dark and windy and started POURING.

So I spent half my time in the house and we got to watch some firework thing on TV.
