"The monsters human." Me and Wednesday said at the same time. I looked at her. "What the hell are you doing?" I jumped and turned around to Xavier. "The monster. Following it." Xavier grave me a weird look. "You saw it?" he looked around. "Here? Do you have a death wish or something?" I looked at him confused. "What are you doing here?" He looked at me. I shivered. "I overheard you say you were checking out the old meeting House. It's lucky I showed up when I did." Heokked around. Yea... Showing up when the monster shows up. I put my hand in my pocket. Feeling the necklace. "I did learn one thing. The monster is human. It's tracks turned from monster ones to human ones." Xavier nodded at Wednesday. "Show me." Wednesday walked towards. But the tracks were gone.

"The rain washed them away." Xavier scoffed. "Xavier there were tracks! I saw it! I saw it's eye ball!" My hand rubbed my necklace. "I'm trying to keep an open mind." Wednesday walked forward a bit. "How big of you." I walked under the umbrella. Wednesday a but in the rain. "I do think you might be right about Rowan." Wednesday glanced at him. "Why the sudden change of heart?" I nodded. Looking up at him. "I texted him today. I said maybe we could meet over spring breakbreak and go snowboarding like we did last year. This time he texted right back, saying he wouldn't be able to make it." I looked at him. "You didn't go snowboarding last year huh?" He nodded. "Part of me wanted to blame his recent weirdness. I didn't want to think something bad happend." I nodded as we kept walking. "The cover up is always worse than the crime." Wednesday spoke from the front. "Now I need you to be honest with me." I turned to look at Xavier.

"Why'd you come out to old meeting place in the first place?" I looked at him. "We were trying to learn more about crackstone. Figure out how he was connected to this." He nodded and looked at me. "Yeah you were trying to use your physic abilities, right?" I gave him a look. "What makes you think we have any?" Wednesday spoke up. Yet Xavier's eyes stayed on mine. "Lucky guess. When did they start?" I looked away. "Mine started a few weeks ago. Hers started a year ago. I know it makes sense for a witch to have these visions but... I just don't know. It's weird." I shook my head. "Yea but you can't control and it freaks you out." I gave him a look. How did he know this. "My dad's a physic." I nodded. "Vincent Thorpe. My brothers his number one fan. Watched his Vegas Special so many times, I'm surprised it's not imprinted on his eyeballs." Wednesday said as she glanced back.

"So I live with a physic master and the first thing hell tell you is that visions can't be trusted. They only show you one part of the picture." I stopped walking. "We saw Joseph Crackstone right in front of me as im seeing you now. He burned all the outcast in the meeting House." I said giving Xavier a look. "Okay he was a sadistic asshole. So what it was 400 years ago. It's got nothing to do with now." I sighed. "But what if does. I wouldn't have saw that vision if it had nothing to do with what's going on. Crackstone plays a part in this. I feel it in my gut. Plus you saw Rowan's drawing." My hands started to shake and I rubbed them together. "See you're creating stories and they make your visions." I gave Xavier a look. "All I'm saying is my dad, the expert, that physic ability isn't rooted in logic. It's triggered by emotions. I mean let's be honest. Emotion for Wednesday isn't exactly her strong suit." I looked at Wednesday.

So what if emotion wasn't her strong suit. Our ancestors showed us those visions for a reason. "We believe Rowan was right though. Something bad is going to happen and we need to stop it. Starting with that monster." I spoke and Wednesday turned around. "Whoever it is." She started to walk away and I sighed. "Wednesday!" I called but she didn't turn around. I looked at Xavier. "I'm only staying here because I don't want to get any more wet." He only nodded. We didn't speak the rest of the way.

I sat down in the bleachers. A bit away from everyone. As the mayor said things I didn't listen. I pulled the necklace out of my pocket. Looking at it. It was words on it but they were to small to read. There was crystal inside of it. I'm sure it amethyst. It was held by a vessel. It was sliver and very pretty. But how was this going to protect me? A crystal can only do so much I'm sure. I sighed and looked up. The band started to play and I glanced at Wednesday. The Joseph Crackstone statue started to spit water out and I looked at it. I was beyond Terrified. Just looking at the statue made me sulk. I saw a fire going up to the statue and I gasped as it went in to the water blowing it up.

Lighting on fire. I looked at Wednesday. The only person playing. I stood up and walked over to her. "Are you crazy?!" I yelled and she only glanced at me. I then glanced back at the staute. Should've burned him a long time ago.

Wednesday was now in Week's office and I was in my dorm. I groaned as I flipped through pages in a book I found in my collection. It was about my family tree. But so far nothing about a Agnes. I groaned. "I'm going to be looking through this forever!" I flipped more pages. "Her what are you doing?" I looked at Enid. "Family tree." She only nodded. "I need help. I'm going on a date with Ajax tonight." I looked up. "You need help with an outfit?" She nodded. "Yes please." I stood up walking over to help her. "I think this. It brings out the color in your hair. And maybe this hat?" She nodded and went to change. Wednesday walked in. "It's my writing time." Was she all said before sitting at her desk. Enid came out and gave me a spin. I nodded. "Yes perfect." She smiled.

"So glad I have my date with Ajax tonight. Get mind off that train wreck of an afternoon. I litterly think I have PTSD. I didn't even get to do my dance routine!" I sighed. "What a tragedy." Wednesday said. "What kind of physic would want to twist such a life changing event?" I glanced at Wednesday. She stopped typing. "You're going to be late." she started to type again and I pulled Enid towards me. Fixing her hat and making sure her makeup looked great. "Wish me luck!" I smiled. "If he breaks your heart, I'll nail gun his." Me and Wednesday said at the same time. Enid left and I turned to Wednesday. I pulled the necklace out of my pocket. Looking at it. Why would I need protecction? What could go so wrong.

I sighed and closed the family tree book and put it up. I needed a long shower. A very. Very long one. I walked in to the bathroom and shut the door.
