16 Years Later

Captain Silus Ismand, tuned into the silence of the forest road before his fellow soldiers. With the raising of a fisted hand, the Wolf Republic vehicles grounded to a halt.

The long stretch of road, cutting deep into the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, connected the Republic city of Silver Haven-what was once Washington D.C-to the latest of new mining installations to feed the ever growing need for raw materials for the continuing onslaught of attacks upon the Republic.

For sixteen long years, the Alpha Supreme continued his goal of revenge against the Rebels and their ally, the Pride. His desire for vengeance from the kindnapping, and possible murder, of his nephew Varath Petros. The famous and noble South Quadrant Alpha of Silver Haven. Decived and betrayed by his mate and Luna, Brenna Kriskus. Whom many had thought to be a lowly human worker, Sarah Felder.

But what was worse, was something no one, not even the Alpha Supreme had expected from the daughter of his greatest enemy. Brenna, had been a sleeper agent. Biding her time away in the planning and implementation of his nephew's death. She had not calculated that she was Varath's mate, a most coveted thing that Brenna corrupted without any trace of honor or mercy.

It had not been till her kidnapping and safe return that the truth was revealed. The very night she returned, Alpha Petros was kidnapped from his home by the elusive serial killer, Keres. It had been known before hand, to those of the highest military clearance, of Keres' threats towards Alpha Petros and at the time, a still recovering Brenna. No one expected for the Alpha to have been taken without notice. No one expected the hacking of every device, tv, and radio around the world to broadcast his torture at the hands of his father's murderer.

No one expected Keres, to be his mate. To be his pregnant mate, with the power of a dryad born.

The consequences of this, and of Varath's disappearance, were deadly and all consuming. The other three Alphas of Silver Haven, were stripped of their titles and forced to become the new leaders of the Alpha Supreme's new squad of biologically enhanced soldiers. The Wild Hunt. The wolves in their packs were forced to join these units as support staff, doctors, nurses, and scientists. The humans however, all were killed. Sparing only children and pregnant mothers, making them cleaners and battle field scroungers.

But he did not stop there.

The Alpha Supreme took over Silver Haven, instituting martial law for it, and all the territory under his control. From the border of Canada, down to battfeilds scarred across the old Southern states, from Florida to Texas. Extend west one so far, until his influence reached the fortified walls of human outposts resding within the mountains of Colorado. He did, with swift effeminacy, killed all humans within the Republic prisons.

Forced the rest into the lowest of jobs who had not been made to before, and had, at gunpoint, every human from the oldest man to new born babies, fitted with a government tracker. A device that would send a lethal shock up into the brain, of anyone whose tracker was removed.
