Moving On

Dr Walker checks my shoulder and eye he tells me I will have a black eye and my shoulder will be bruised and tender for a few days.
"You were very lucky the bottle didn't break," Dr Walker says
"Can I go now, please?"
"Yes, you can any pain. Just take some painkillers, any more problems come and see me."
"Thank you Dr Walker" I get up, and we leave the hospital getting into the car we head home. Once home, Mike helps me out the car, we go into the kitchen and sit down a glass of juice, and two pain killers are placed in front of me.

"Look, guys," they all look at me. "The problem is hers ,I am pressing charges, and I want to get a restraining order on her so she can't come near me again. David" he looks at me "do not blame yourself ok I should be able to walk to the shop. I don't want to be cooped up or have a bodyguard she won't get near me again. I'm not letting this go if I have to go to court I will, I'm tired of looking over my shoulder she attacked me from behind she has gone way to far and I'm not taking it anymore. You all of you have made me stronger and strong enough to get through this. "
"I should have been here!" David says
"No, David, she should not have done what she did." He gets up and stomps out the room. I see him go through the patio door to the garden
"I'll go talk to him," Carl says
"I'm going to bed,"

"Len, please, I just need to go to bed." I walk upstairs to the bedroom and lie on the bed. I'm just about to fall asleep when I hear the door open and close. The bed dips, and an arm comes around me.
"I'm sorry." I stayed quite "baby please, I was so worried I couldn't find you and when Dr Walker phoned to say you were in hospital I went crazy. I love you. I feel like a failure. I said I would protect you, and I didn't. " he kisses my neck
"David I understand but I don't want you to feel like it's your fault cause it wasn't, if this is what it takes to get her out my life then I'm happy it happened, don't I deserve to be like everyone else be able to walk around without fear. I love you to David. What we did last night was amazing, and today, dealing with this, I'm afraid that you are always going to see me as weak. "
"I don't see you as weak I see you as strong, I'm just scared that so much happens all at once you won't be able to cope, I'm just worried about you, I have waited a long time to find you and I don't want to lose you"

"It's all thanks to four amazing guys." he kisses my neck. Just then, there is a knock at the door
"What!" David shouts
"David," I say. "Come in." I shout David's head is in my neck.
"Hey guys, sorry to disturb you Kylie the police are here," Mike says
"Thank you, Mike. I'll be right down," he closes the door.
"Come on, David, help me up?" he come round my side he picks me up and holds me in the air till I'm face to face with him. He leans in and kisses me, then gently puts me on the ground, and we go downstairs.
We go into the kitchen, and the officers are there from the hospital

"Thank you, Kylie. we are here to tell you that Cathy has pleaded guilty to assault and will be held in custardy till the court hearing Wednesday at 9am, you will not have to appear"

"The other thing we need to ask you is about your sister,"
"What about her?"
"She needs somewhere to stay, and with you being her only relative, could she stay with you?"
"I'm sorry, but no, I can't."
"I understand that I didn't mean to upset you, but we had to ask."
"It's ok,"
"Ok, Kylie, that's all for now. we will be at the hearing on Wednesday,"
"Thank you for letting me know what's going on."

"What a fucking cheek asking Kylie to have that bitch of a sister" Carl says
"You heard what they said they had to ask" David says
"I'm surprised you didn't kick off" Len says
"Kylie is safe that bitch will get what's coming to her." David says and places his head in my neck
"Come on let's get something to eat."
"Your not cooking?" Mike says
"I'm going out to get pizza is that ok for everyone" Lenny says
"I'm ok with that" me and David go to the back garden and we sit on the swing seat.
I put my feet beneath me and snuggle into David, it's so peaceful and relaxing.
"You ok baby?" David says
"I am honey" I smile at David, Mike comes out with two beers and a orange juice
"Thank you Mike"
"Thanks"
"Carl went with Lenny to get the pizza" Mike says soon enough they are talking about sport and I tune out, I close my eyes and relax I feel David squeeze me a little and I smile.
"PIZZAS HERE!" Lenny shouts we all head inside and there are four boxes on the table it smells delicious once my plate is full David tells me to sit down and he brings my plate over to me we are watching the tv and enjoying our food. When I finish, David takes my plate. I notice my Kindle on the table next to the couch. picking up the Kindle, I brows through the romance section. I select a couple of books and start to read.
"Kylie." I look up and smile at David
"Yes honey,"
"It's time for bed," David says
"Wow, what time is it?"
"It's just after ten," David says
"Oh my, I have been reading for three hours."
"You have come on. Let's get you some more pain pills and get to bed." David says I walk into the kitchen and got the pain pills and some orange juice. Once I have taken them, I head upstairs to bed.
"David, can you help me get my shirt off?"
"Of course, baby." he walks over to me and opens the buttons, then he slides it off my shoulders
"And my bra," he smiles at me but undoes it and takes it off. "Now my trousers," he takes them off. "Can I have one of your shirts?"
"Of course you can, baby." he gets me one of his shirts and helps me put it on. We get into bed, and he curls up against me.
"You baby are a tease." I laugh and close my eyes.
