Moving On Ten Years Later

I couldn't be happier me and David got married. We have four children, twin girls, Mia and Jessica, 7 years old, and our twin boys Drake and Troy are 5 years old. To me it's like my bad start never happened, looking at David I can't help but smile I could never repay him for what he did for me and the guys of course speaking of which I am happy for all of them. Lenny has a wife called Callie and a beautiful daughter called Ashley, Mike has a wife called Scarlet, and a son named Devon,Carl has a wife called Willow and a daughter called Summer
We all live next door to each other it's fantastic. All our gardens are all connected, we are close, and my grandparents moved back to town and lived just across the road. I spent time with Andrew and Carol. Andrew gave me away at our wedding. I have a wonderful family and friends as I stand here looking at them all I feel so blessed, my cakes took off , I supply the diner with them, I have a cookbook that I also released with Carol, life is good. As I step out into the garden, my children come running up.
"Momma, momma," Jessica, Mia, Troy, and Drake come running to me. I hold my arms out they form a circle and hug me. I hug them all back
"My babies"
"We love you, mamma."
"I love you all so much." I kiss each of them, and they run back to playing, walking over to Andrew and Carol
"Hi Grand Papa," I kiss his cheek
"Hi Angel," he calls me that as he says I'm a blessing
"Hi Grand Momma,"
"Hi sweetie,"
"You both want anything?"
"No, we are good." I kiss their cheek and walk over to David.
"Hi baby,"
"Hi honey, I kiss him. I laugh when I see all the kids jumping all over Lenny
"Life is perfect." I smile
"It is," David says
"KYLIE SAVE ME!" Lenny screams we all laugh
"Ok, kids, ease up on your uncle Lenny he is old." I smile
"OLD OLD YOU SHOULDN'T OF SAID THAT!" Lenny jumps up and chases me. I run. Everyone is laughing their heads off
"DAVID!" I scream. I run past David, and David tackles Lenny to the ground
"Leave my wife alone," David says. Lenny gets up
"Bro, not cool." he comes to me and kisses my cheek, David opens his arms, and I run into them
"My hero!" and I kiss him
"I love you, baby," David says
"I love you too." I'm so thankful for my family. I'm surrounded by family and friends I could burst
"Foods ready!." we all sit down and tuck in, the sun is shining, and I feel tears come to my eyes.
"You ok, baby?"
"Yes, just hormones." Everyone looks at me
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" David says
"What do you think I'm saying?"
"Are you pregnant?"
"Well, my dear husband, yes I am." David picks me up and kisses me, then everyone jumps up and cheers. I get hugs and kisses, and my grandparents are crying
"You have given us so much" we love you so much
"I love you both as well." Once we finish eating, David tells me he wants to take me somewhere
"We will be back soon,"
"Ok, bro."
We get to the car and when we pull up outside the church, I get out and hold David's hand we walk to my fathers grave, we had the headstone replaced and his grave is as perfect as it could be.
"Hi dad just letting you know that I'm expecting again, I wish you could be here, I'm happy I have a wonderful family and friends" I give the grave the once over and we head back to the car.
We get home the night is closing in. I see the kids nearly fall asleep so I take them in and give them all a bath and tuck them into bed, going back out into the garden David , Carl, Mike, Lenny are all standing there with flowers in there hand I smile every week they do this ever since my birthday.
"Thank you, I love you all." Going into the kitchen, I place the flowers around the kitchen. We sit outside for a few more hours, and we all head in. Me and David go for a shower, then put our pyjamas on. I go to the front room and look at all the photo albums. I have twenty albums they are my precious memeries.
I stopped seeing Susan six years ago I still have bad days but then I come in here and look at these pictures they help me, as for Cathy she died from alcohol poisoning five years ago I found out through the newspaper. I can't say I felt anything I moved on, I never found anything out about Katie, not that I looked, I'm happy with my life. As for Dr Walker, he has delivered all my babies, and hopefully, he will deliver this one he is special to me he was there at my worst and has seen me at my best. David comes behind me and wraps his arms around me.
