Ayato: Are you done spacing out?

I snap back to reality.

Why are you so annoying, Ayato? Seriously!

Ayato: Well, I've been talking to myself for the last 10 minutes. Imagine how that feels. he gives me a dirty look

Man, you are so boring. I can't listen to your nonsense anymore.

Ayato: Wow, you're really in a rotten mood. What were you thinking about?

Ruby: What do you think?

Ayato: sighs Look, that was a really weird phase for you. Too much drama with that guy. It's good things ended. I'm honestly relieved.

Ruby: Shut up! You never liked him from the beginning.

"Well, yeah! Can you blame me? Come on, that guy had, and still has, issues."

"What do you mean by still?"

"A few days ago, I saw him and his gang," Ayato begins.

I'm immediately intrigued. "What did you see?"

"What do you expect from those delinquents? They were fighting as usual."

"Oh," I respond, unsurprised but still curious. "And...?"

Ayato rolls his eyes. "Well, yeah, I'm sure you're ONLY curious about him," he says, annoyed. "He was going all out as usual. The rest of them had to hold him back, begging him not to kill the guy he was beating up. He's just lost it, I tell you." He shakes his head, clearly frustrated.

I start to worry about him. Why would he act this way? After all, he was the one who ended things. I don't understand his behavior. I feel the urge to see him, but no! I can't fall back into that same old cycle.

Ayato: Anyway, that's it. Oh, and also...

"Yeah? I respond Waiting to hear more.

Ayato: He's cut his hair short. It's not long like before, and he's ditched those ridiculous glasses too.

Ruby: I may know why he did that, and it's definitely not for me.

Ayato: Come on, Ruby! It's pretty obvious it's because of you. He may tell others otherwise, but if he truly changed, he wouldn't still be causing trouble and making headlines all the time.

He sighs loudly. "Anyway, good riddance. I'm glad he's in the past."

He changes the topic. "So, how's your soon-to-be husband doing?"

I remained silent, silently concurring with Ayato. His name had been appearing in the papers quite frequently lately.

Ayato inquired, "Hey, how's he doing?"

I responded curtly, "Oh, Megumi? He's fine."

Ayato raised an eyebrow, "That's it?"

Rolling my eyes, I replied, "He's doing great, okay? Happy?"

My phone starts to buzz.

"Talk of the devil," I muttered as I glanced at my phone.

I answered the call, "Hello?"

Megumi asked urgently, "Where are you? Let me come pick you up."

"sigh. "Not now, Megumi. I'm still with my friend."

"Send me the address location," Megumi demanded before disconnecting.

Frustrated, I ignored his request and switched off my phone.
