Ayato and I start to walk around, taking in our surroundings.
Ayato eagerly walks ahead, drawn to the stalls. I watch him from where I stand.
He truly is amazing. If only he were with me instead of Miko. It's selfish, I know, but he's been the only stable thing in my chaotic life. I can't imagine navigating life without him. We're so close, almost like a real couple, knowing each other inside and out.
In his dark grey yukata, he looks handsome tonight.
Ayato appears in front of me with treats.
"Ruby?" he says.
I blush as he calls my name, and he notices. Embarrassed, I shout at him.
"Huh? Why the heck are you blushing?" he asks.
"None of your goddamn business. Get out of my way," I say, pushing him aside as I continue to walk.
God! Ruby, you're being so weird.
Ayato: Hey, Crazy! Hold up! I got your favorite treat. Here.
I stop and turn around as he hands me a box of dango.
Ruby: Ah! Man, those look so good. My mouth starts to water. Thanks, Ayato! I grab a stick of dango from the box.
Ayato: You're welcome! he says with a smile, trying to lift my mood. By the way, Ruby...

I turn red, still embarrassed from before.
Ruby: Err, look who's being weird now. I walk away from him.
Ayato laughs, knowing he's just messing with me.
He catches up, puts his arm around my shoulder, and we continue walking around together.
Looking for something refreshing to drink, we spot a bustling ramune stall. I point it out.
Ayato: Perfect! I'm thirsty. Let's go.
As we approach the stall, I notice the Furin kid Togame was fighting, along with a blonde guy, one with an eye patch, and a tall guy with white hair. Are they all from Furin? My thoughts are interrupted by Ayato.
Ayato: What do you want to drink? he asks, handing me the menu.
Ruby: I'll have the strawberry.
Ayato: Great choice! I'll get the grape.
Ayato places the order. The white-haired guy takes it with a friendly smile. He seems nice, I think.
We wait for our drinks by the stall.
Ayato places both hands on my shoulders, bending down to look into my eyes.

I smile back, showing my teeth.
