A week had passed since Trent's death, the silence was deafening. Without the background noise of Trent's guitar or Lindsay constantly asking dumb questions, the house felt dead.

Duncan and Courtney had moved into the room that used to be Lindsay and Tyler's. They presumed it was more fair for two people to sleep in comfort instead of one.

Although it had only been 3 days in the same room, Courtney was starting to hate sharing her bed with Duncan. He took the entire bedsheet to himself and when she would tell him to stop, he would simply say "sleep closer to me then." Ew!

After a few cold nights, as much as she hated to admit it, she did end up cuddling up to him in the night. It was nice.

She woke up on this particular day with her head on Duncan's stomach, somewhat using it as a pillow. She awoke to his abdomen making a loud, vibrating noise. He was hungry.

She punched him in the stomach for waking her up from a good dream. She dreamt about her parents and the last time she saw them. The last time she spoke to them was a few days before the apocalypse breakout. They were well respected lawyers so they were going on a business trip to Milan for the week and she had the house to herself. She sometimes missed her old house.

She remembered the first thing she did after her parents had left. She called Duncan. Yes, the two did have a fling a few years ago. A regretful one. Luckily there was no bad blood between them, or sharing a bed would've been hell.

She didn't know if her parents were still alive. She never liked her parents much, there were quite judgmental to say the least.

She was risen from her daydream by Duncan pushing her off of his stomach, in doing so, he made her head bash against the bed frame.

"Ow Duncan!" She slapped the back of his neck.

"You punched me first don't start!" Duncan retorted, pushing her head.

This set Courtney off. Suddenly, they were wrestling on the bed, shaking the entire cabin.

There were along of grunts from Duncan, he'd almost forgotten how sting Courtney was. A few squeals came from Courtney's mouth but he didn't know if they were because he was winning or if she was just getting really mad at him.

After a few minutes, Duncan had managed to pin Courtney's two wrists to either side of her head. Then there was a moment between the two. Their heavy breathing filled the others ears, their chests beating against eachothers.

Courtney looked up at him. His blue eyes looked directly into hers. What were they? They hadn't really ever put a level on themselves.

With the warmth of her breathing, Duncan leaned into her and kissed her feverishly. Even though it caught her off guard, she did the exact same thing back. As much as she didn't want to admit it, Duncan was just as good a kisser as he was all those years ago.

After about a minute, Duncan backed off, he lay on his back beside her.

"I'm sorry.." He apologised awkwardly, assuming she didn't like it.

"For what?" She asked with an upside down smile.

In the room next to them, Heather and Alejandro were laughing at the sex noises Duncan and Courtney were making while wrestling. After any struggling noise Heather would look at Alejandro and start giggling.

"Do you think they're actually having fucking sex in there?" Heather asked her boyfriend.

"Hundred percent." Alejandro replied with certainty.

After a while, it got quiet. Heather put her ear up to the wall and tried to listen in.

"They're like making out HARD!" Heather snickered. Alejandro laughed.
