BEAR NEVER LIKED NORMAL. ONCE she had her freedom, she didn't see the appeal of what is considered a 'normal life.' The girl never had anything normal, so why change what she knew?

She liked to always move, to always do something. Stopping seemed like torture, it wasn't her style to just relax. If she was forced to sit down and wait, she'd just go crazy.

When finding her place, a warehouse that no one visits because of its broken-down demeanor and gated access, she loved it. It was big with random junk inside from other squatters that were there, plumbing and electricity that still worked, and many nooks and crannies for her to move in and out.

The place was her own to use and do what she liked, which was weird at first, but then was exciting; Of course, it all stopped when a man came into her place.

At first, she was ready to beat him and throw him out. But, he pleaded for her to keep him around, to let him lay low here. He said his name was David 'Micro' Lieberman, some analyst guy who's great with computers.

What made her decide to keep him around was the simple that he could get her access to movies and television.

So, there they were. David is on his computer doing 'work' and watching his family from hidden cameras and Bear watching movies on a beat-up computer found in an electronic store dumpster.

Truthfully, David thought Bear was just a runaway teen, a stupid kid who thought they were grown enough to take care of themselves. It wasn't until she had to look her up to say otherwise.

He found nothing.
No birth certificate, no identification.
In the government's eyes, Bear never existed.

It didn't take long for him to discover why. Once when he went out to grab some beers, a group of men tried to rob him. Bear, an 18-year-old teen, beat four men in the middle of an alley.

And it was rough, incredibly hard to watch. Blood was splattered on the uneasy pavement, bits of flesh got stuck to the walls. He realized why Bear had her name.

With the man that he was searching for, Bear could be his advantage. She had shown that she was capable of handling herself, she's an unknown figure to the world, a person who can blend in.

"The work I've been doing is for me, for my family," He admits, "If I want to see my family, I need this guy, Frank Castle." David points to a picture of a man on the computer screen. "I need to find him in order to get my family back."

"What does this gotta do with me?" She asked, arms crossed.

"Help me," He says, "Help me be my eyes and ears. With you, we can cover more ground and——"
