CURTIS HAD BEAR CAME DOWN to his support group to help him set up, and he hoped that this could possibly help her open up to him. As he explained what his side work was, she now just thought of him as a therapist, which seemed fitting; it seemed natural to just talk to him.

She remembered her support group. Her friends coming together for a short time to talk, and slowly that support group became just a meeting for escaping. When it was just them talking about their feelings, Bear didn't feel so alone, because they were all going through the same things.

She didn't like thinking about them. It made her chest feel heavier by the second.

As the two of them were getting the chairs to make a circle, Bear noticed a man standing at the doorway, automatically. She whistled to Curtis, who now noticed him.

"Why you gotta be so quiet? Like a damn cat."

"I could tie a bell around my neck or something, if that'd help you out," The man jokes, walking toward him.

Curtis chuckles with him, "Yeah, you do that."

The two shook hands and smiled.
Bear assumed that they were friends, but she didn't take Curt as the type to blab, especially if he was associated with Frank.

"Want some coffee? It's fresh-brewed."
"Sure."

That was when the man looked at her, and Bear got a good look at him.

He was tall and wore a black and white suit that looked expensive. His hair was dark and slicked back, with trimmed facial hair. His eyes were are dark as his hair, as they stared back at her. His lips curled into a curious smile.

"You gotta volunteer?"

Curtis looks to the girl. "Yeah," He semi-lied, "She helps out every once in a while. Good kid, a bit on the quiet side."

An easy liar, she notes.

The old friend walks up to her. "What's your name, kid?"

Bear looked toward him. His presence was demanding but very charismatic, a voice to be reckoned with. He seemed like a powerful guy, like a CEO or something.

"Alice," She lied, putting down the chair in her hand.

"Nice to meet you, Alice." He sticks out his name. "Billy Russo."

She gave a penciled smile and shook his hand. His grip was strong, but so was hers, which made him smile out of respect. "Good handshake, you got there."
