I woke up an hour ago in my new room, Elo must have dragged me up here last night because I can't remember waking up out the car.
Checking my myself in the mirror, I'm wearing a tight fit white shirt and slightly oversized jeans with a pair of white sneakers, hair in a slick back bun. simple but cute, Eloanna is going to work a photo/video season with the basketball team during their practice, being new here and all I decided to tag along.
"Well don't you look fine!" Elo said as I came down the stairs "why Goodmorning to you too." laughing we began to eat breakfast she made. "Oh, am I going to meet your rayah girl today?" I barely got out before she chocked on her food, patting her back she answered "she's not my girl, I just kinda like her and yes she'll be there. She's on the team stupid." this girl choking and croaking but still got the nerve to be sassy as hell. "Alright girl, you about to be late so let's go!"
The drive lasted around 10 minutes until I saw the school campus, "welcome to your new school Sie!" Elo cheered while finding a parking spot. The place was big and empty as school was not in session until Monday and its currently Saturday.
Getting out the car, I head towards the trunk to help Elo carry her equipment into the gym. "Damn bitch!" I exclaimed picking up a duffel bag that had to be full of bricks. "Dramatic." Elo laughed while closing the trunk while holding the evidently lighter bag. Evil.
Waddling through the campus, I took my time to admire the place. After all I'd be seeing it every day soon. "We must be close huh?" I uttered as I recognize the sound of sneakers. Earning a nod from my sister as we turn a corner leading us straight through the half-opened door of the gym. "Finally, next time get somebody else to do it." I said damn near out of breath glaring at a cackling Elo, as we put the equipment down on the sidelines where she'd set up.
"Alright wicked witch of the west!" one of the girls uttered mocking Elo's laugh, gaining a glare from the shorter girl. "Good morning to you too twelve." Elo replied while continuing her set up. "Hey! morning umm?" oh shit she's talking to me damn was I staring?! "Oh! hey uh morning um I'm Sienna-Rae, you can call me Sie though." I stuttered and rambled to the tall girl who had a slightly amused look on her face. Ughhh kill me. "Sie? this the sister you always on the phone with El?" "yup" Elo answered. "Cool! nice to meet you I'm Juju." she said giving a small smile before heading back to her team. "You are red! girl you were almost drooling just now." "You're exaggerating, and I wasn't drooling, just got a bit nervous you know, anxiety." I replied earning a snort from my sister.
"Anxiety my ass! I know you got that pretty bad, but that was pure awe and attraction. You got the hots for twelveee!""Oh hush, I'm just meeting this girl. can't possibly have "the hots" for her." quoting her words. "mhmm sure, come help me with this."
After about 10 minutes of setting up and watching the team warm up. The coach had finally arrived.
"Alright everyone let's go everyone!" Coach clapped ushering the girls to her. "That's coach Gottlieb, by the way." I nodded in response to Elo, sitting beside her on the floor watching the girls do drills, while she gets to work on getting footage.
After greeting and introducing myself to coach Gottlieb, yes walked to the other side of the court to introduce myself cause my manners wouldn't allow me to just sit all unfamiliar to her in her space. (sue me!)
"Hey I got this fireee shot of miss super tall with the braids!" I skipped over to my sister who was sitting on the bench alongside Juju and another girl I didn't get the name of, both taking a water break. "Oh sorry!" "You're fine, now who's 'miss super tall with the braids'?" Juju asked as they all laughed at the name choice.
"Oh! miss super tall over there in the red, her!" I pointed in the direction of the girl, earning a nervous laugh from Elo as she started fidgeting with her gadgets. "Oh?" I let out as curiosity spread across the juju and I's faces. "Don't study me Sie, I can practically see you're brain thinking." she said confirming my thoughts, turning completely to the taller girl beside me. Big mistake looking into her eyes felt like it nearly stopped my heart for a bit.
"Ummm is miss super tall named Rayah by chance?" "Yes that's her name, how'd you?- Ohhhh" she answered coming to the realization of what was going on. "Uh twelve shouldn't you get back to practice now?" "Damnnn i knew it! ....and back to practice i shall go bye El, bye Sie!" the taller said running off after a glare from Elo.
TIME SKIP
Hauling the heavy duffel bag successfully back into the trunk of the car, as Elo yapped my ear off about 'revealing her crush on 13 to 12 and risks of her finding out'. She refers to them all by their numbers and its lowkey hilarious.
Across the parking lot I spot some of the girls walking together heading to their cars, subconsciously, I found myself searching for a certain girl in the bunch. "Quit looking for Juju and get in the car I'm ready!" "I was not looking for Juju!" I said entering the front seat. "Sure, wanna get chipotle?" "Nah imma cook. I feel for shrimp pasta." "Ahhhh! i forget you can cook real good! You bout to save us some money." Elo said making me roll my eyes and chuckle a bit, as we drive out the school parking lot.
"Elooooo! come down fi yuh dinner girl!" i shout from the kitchen summoning my sister.... in a spiderman onesie? this girl omg. "Thanks pookie." I nod sitting on the couch as we turn on a movie neither of us will finish watching after cause we gonna fall sleep soon anyway.
