The two girls are inseparable, have been since the age of 3. Up until august of last year the best friends had not spent even 2 weeks away from each other, living together since they were toddlers, being roommates for most of their lives. Sharing clothes, homework, tears, fears and aspirations.
They were soulmates. Sieanarae supported Melania as she made the bold decision to travel overseas to study, to study biology and engage in a research offer neither would deny, as it was their shared dream. Biological Research became a passion for the two at an earlier point of their high school journey. Sieanarae was granted an in-country scholarship with a mentored research camp conducted by the school. This for the first time drastically separating the friends.
They reunite today!
☆*Sieanarae's POV☆*
"Mel baby!" I screamed running to meet my best friend tears already forming in my eyes. "Sie bear!" she hollered back also running to me. we collided in an overdue hug, both crying at this point in each others embrace. "Here, for you my lady!" I say giving her a bouquet of white roses, her favorites. "Aww! for you my lady!" she excitingly hands me a bouquet of pink tulips, my favorite!
We decided to have a picnic today, to eat, relax and catch up on the past 4 months. Unpacking and arranging the food and drinks on the blanket Mel had spread out earlier. "I got you cheesecake Sie bear!" Mel said taking a small cheesecake out of the basket. "omg omg I baked your mocha cake last night!" I squealed while pulling the cake out of my own basket. "Stopppp you did not." Mel said hugging me before we finished packing out the stuff and exchanging gifts.
"So how we feeling about school tomorrow?" Mel asked as we were catching up. "Nervous but excited you know." she nods at my response while eating a slice of her cake. "You'll be fine bear, you excel in bio it's literally your thing so no need to worry about that. And you will for sure make friends and shii cause you're literally the coolest!" Chuckling at the last words I thank her for the encouragement.
After the picnic we headed back to Mel's place as I had never been. We settled in the living room area to watch our favorite movie, Barbie: Pearl Princess. We have probably watched it over 100 times in our lives.
The movie played as nostalgia and rediscovered comfort and sisterhood washed over us as I wait on Elo to pick me up.
