Leah's POV
The last couple of weeks have been draining. Especially with Ivy admitting that she had kind of led me on to believe that the flirting was mutual between us. We don't talk that much anymore. She checks in with my rehab but I'm not rushing to reply. And as for the coffee that we agreed to go on. I don't want to. The season starts back up next month and I'm trying my best to be happy for the team but I'm so mentally drained it's a joke.

If I'm being honest I have found different solutions, drinking, sleeping with any woman and I haven't been eating properly. I've turned into the person I vowed never to become.
Yet. At the same time this was seeming to be the only thing keeping life bearable.
I know that it's not the right thing to do deep down. But I was addicted to football, it made me happy. It made me feel wanted. It made me feel at peace.

I also know that Ivy is back in England I'm unsure as to her whereabouts but she posted on her instagram story about being back in Tesco. I don't think they have those in the USA.

Today is a team night out, which means no one can tell me how much to drink and certainly no one will care about my actions. It's the first team night out I've been on since I've done my ACL, and I can't wait for it. I'm currently waiting for the plans to be arranged properly, some people are meeting at Beth and Viv's. Some are meeting at Alessia's apartment. But all I care about is getting out there to be honest. I don't want to wait around and waste time.

Leah - Seriously what is going on, like where we meeting who's we meeting at ? We are wasting time ere'
Katie - I second that.
Alessia - Well I don't mind if you all come up to my apartment and then we can order some Ubers to the club ?
Beth - Yeah I don't mind either, if half you come here for 7:30 and then half go to alessias for the same time then it will be easier and we'll just meet at the club !
Leah - yeh ok. Less I'm coming to yours.
Katie - Beth I'll come yours.

And there we go. This is why I'm vice captain because I can get things organised quickly. I quickly turned off my phone and finished getting ready considering it's 6:45 and at least a 20 min drive from mine to Lessi's.

After reaching Alessia Apartment and quickly getting some drinks down us. We all climbed into an Uber to the club when Alessia decides to spin all attention on me and what I've been up to.

A - So Leah, what you been up to lately
L - not much, bit of this. Bit of that you know how it is.
A - I don't but I can guess, how you feeling like not physically le but mentally ?
L - if I told you I'd have to kill you too, I'm not great but I'm not bad either. I have my days and that's okay because I can deal with that.
A - well I'm here if you need anyone. You know that
L - yeh ofc I do I mean it's difficult not playing but at the same time. It gives me the chance to click on a massive reset button. Do things I've never done before

*like drinking and having sex with any person who's interested - I call it a coping mechanism and a more healthy one than some*

A - yeah I guess it does do that for you.

Walking into the club the smell of alcohol immediately hit me, walking straight through to the bar after leaving the girls. Tbh this barmaid is hot you know.
B - Hi what can I get for you
L - 24 shots of tequila, and a double vodka and coke please darling.
B - that's not a problem, are you paying cash or card ?
L - Cash please darling.
I instantly noticed her blushing when I continued to call her darling. I thought tonight I'd lay off burying my feelings through sex but you know what. Fuck it. Literally (not a single pun intended)
L - you're blushing by the way
B - that's what happens when you get called darling by a 10/10.
L - well I'd really like to know your name darling.
B - Emily
L - sounds beautiful I'm Leah
E - nice to meet you Leah, are you here with someone tonight ?
L - not someone of significance but I am here with friends. Hence the 24 shots of tequila I ordered
E - okay and the double vodka is yours
L - yes Emily it is can I buy you a drink or something ?
E - I'm on shift until 11pm however come and find me after and I'll gladly let you buy me a drink.
L - okay Emily. I'll see you soon.
