Leah's Girl - Bless the Broken Road

Aftermath, Arsenal and Arguments.

After seeing Leah last week and knowing that she slept with my best friend made my opinions of her sway. After Emily came out of the door and into my car she explained everything. How Leah had acted so nice just to get her into bed and then was nasty to her afterwards. I didn't have that on my bingo card for the year, either option. Leah sleeping with Emily or her being nasty. Since then I have muttered any words to Leah, I feel like she doesn't deserve a message or a check in, she wasn't very nice to my friend. Okay I know she didn't know however she had no right to treat another human being like an object. The worst part being it's my first day at Arsenal today and I know I'm going to have to face her.

I have training at 12 and it's currently 11 I've been staying in a hotel nearby until I find somewhere suitable for me to drive to and from training without being too far away. I want to get to the training centre early so that Jonas can introduce me to the girls beforehand and then we can go through training together in different groups.

I get ready in my new Arsenal training kit and set off before arriving at London Colney, getting checked in by the receptionist and making my way to Jonas office.
Knocking on before he called out for me to come in.
I - Hi Jonas, lovely to see you again.
J - Hi Ivy, the training kit suits you, lovely to see you too, are you ready to be welcomed in here at Arsenal.
I - I sure am Jonas, ready to get going.
J - okay so housing arrangements all sorted. He questioned.
I - at the moment. I'm waiting on a few places closer to the training ground. So I am currently staying at a hotel. However, as soon as some become available I'm looking to move instantly
J - when I introduce you I'll ask anyone if they have a spare room a few girls live by themselves so even if it's short term it's a solution for now.
I - perfect thank you !
J - I'll see you in the meeting room in 15 minutes. You can go freshen up or use the toilet if you wish too.
I - okay I'll see you in 15.

As I walked out of his office I made my way to the locker room. I know the girls will all be at breakfast so no one will be in here yet. I laid my stuff down and sat on the bench taking it all it. This is my new home. And it better be worth it.

10 minutes later I make my way to the meeting room where I can already hear the commotion of the girls inside. And her voice is distinctively clear from here. She seems to be laughing and having a good time and I have missed her laughter but she's a bad person I know that.

J - okay girls settle down please, erm we have a special announcement today as some of you are aware we have been lacking in defence since Leah picked up her injury and Jen has left us. Whilst you were all off on your off season holidays which by the way all looked cosy and lovely. Arsenal were tracking down who we believe to be a quality and integral player who will bring passion to the game whilst playing at Arsenal. She has a good track record and I believe that football is the reason she is also a great human being. So please girls let's welcome. Ivy Smith.

~ I walked through the door to everyone's clapping and smiling before I set my eyes on the blonde haired centre back who was neither clapping nor smiling just sat with her mouth wide open and eyebrows furrowed almost as though she couldn't believe that I was there.

I - Hi everyone, thank you for such a warm welcome. I can't wait to get started and play with you all.
Beth - We can't wait to play with you. Your like a female version of Ronaldo who also plays in defence and not attack
Laughter rang round the room after that one.
I - thank you.
J - before we move on and get onto the analysis of our oppositions and tactical plans, Ivy has struggled to find a place close enough to live is anyone willing to give her the spare room of their place until she figures something out that's more long term. It's just a short term solution until she finds a place of her own.

I - yes. Thank you leah. *I replied sarcastically*
