Chapter 3

I woke up to the agonizing sound of my alarm for like the tenth time today. I got up and checked the time it was 1:30 pm what the heck, I had stayed up a bit late yesterday but didn't expect to wake up in the
afternoon.

today was supposed to be just a normal ordinary day, but as I was getting ready for the day I heard someone ring the doorbell. My mom had went out to go grocery shopping and Noah was at hockey practice so I wondered who it could be.

I opened the door and saw Jackson's mom?

"Hey Linda" I haven't really seen her that often these days, she's been a bit busy. But my mom and her still hang out, Linda and my mom have been friends for a really long time, like ever since college.

She says "Hey Julianna" she was the only one that called me by my full name.

"Are you here for my mom? She went out not too long ago" i say.

"Yeah I am here for your mom, do you know how long she's gonna be out for?" I pause and think, "umm lemme see, she said she was going to go grocery shopping and run some errands soo probably an hour"

She says "Ohh I'll just wait inside then" I moved to the side so she could come in.

"So what happened between you and Jackson how come I never see you around the house anymore Juliana?"

I felt bad that she didn't know anything about it I just made up a lie on the spot and said "ohh we just drifted apart" i shrugged.

I felt so guilty and bad.

She asks "hey do you wanna bake cookies just like old times?"

She knew how to cheer me up, she was basically my second mom.

"Oh my gosh yes" i said with a big smile plastered across my face.

Me and her take out the ingredients, i ask "how are Mia and Marcus?" I missed them.

"They're good, they really miss you though, and you babysitting them" she looks at me then bake at the dough.

"If you want I could babysit them anytime. To be honest I really have nothing to do" i look over to her.

She kneads the dough, smiles at me then proceeds to say "that would be wonderful, could you on the weekend?"

I felt so happy to see them again "Yeah just let me know when"

She goes over to her phone I look back at her and wonder what she's going to do, She puts on party in the USA.

"I remember this was you and Jackson's favorite song back then, I still have the video" she chuckles.

"Yeah I remember being taller than him and now look at him" I know I wasn't supposed to talk about him this comfortably but it was Linda, come on what was I supposed to do.

We start singing our hearts out and laugh as some flour goes on my shirt.

"Okay so the dough is done right?" I say.

"Yeah I'm pretty sure it's done, do you wanna taste it?" She says.

"Well obviously, you don't even have to ask" i taste it and immediately say "It's so good oh my gosh!"

"I'm glad you like it, now let's put them on the tray" she says.

"Alright" we put them on the tray, and we had made chocolate chip, m&m and red velvet cookies for me cause those were my favorite.

I put them in the oven, and say "So about showing me that video could you send it to me" i ask.

"Yeah give me a sec" she says.
