Chapter 6

i've never really been "in love" as they describe it in the books I read and the rom coms I watch, i mean i obviously had crushes, i mean who doesn't?

but i've never been really in love like it's described or ever really, if you understand.

i think it's partially because i mostly avoid guys in general and i just keep to myself, i think they're a waste of time but, it's not like there's a part of me that wants a relationship like teen romance, rom-com type love, basically the love you see in the movies.

i believe there's guys like that out there, but not very much, probably because of how much society has changed and how the bare minimum is "high standards" now.

anyway enough of that talking sesh let me get ready for the day.

we were all going to the fair today, it's been a long time since we've all went together so i was excited.

I got ready and went downstairs and heard Noah and Jackson.

"Oh my goodness just flip it" Jackson says laughing in between the sentence.

"Can you not see me trying?" Noah asks.

"Uhh what are you guys doing" i ask them.

"Trying to make pancakes but it's not going so well" Jackson looks unsure.

"Have you guys never made them before?" I ask.

"No" Noah says.

"I have, twice." Jackson says.

"Oh at least you have experience." I laugh before sitting down on one of the island chairs.

"Hey what time are we going to the fair again?" I ask.

"Around 12:30 or when everyone gets here." Noah says.

"Ohh alright" i say.

I grab my phone to text the group chat, I don't think I mentioned it but yeah we all have a group chat now so yeah!

Me- Are you guys almost here yet?

Gracie- Uh yeah just some traffic.

Noah- alright just text when you're here.

I went upstairs and went to my room.

I sat on my chair and got my makeup out to do, because not gonna lie I haven't been feeling that good lately so I felt makeup would maybe make me feel a bit better.

Gracie's POV

While we were in the car me, Nat and Finn were talking about how Jackson and Julia are friends again, honestly as her bestfriend all I want is him not to hurt her again, I know she still kind of likes him, I don't blame her, they've known eachother since birth plus she always likes him "on and off" but I know it's just a cover up for her liking him all these years.

I thought about how to get them a little bit closer and bring that tension back because right now even though they're okay with eachother it's really dull and boring.

"Hey what if we just all go into this car and she and I goes into the car with Jackson and the guys?" Nat asks.

"Nat you're so smart yes oh my gosh." She gives me a smug look, the look she gives me whenever I praise her or remind her of how smart she is.

We got to the house and all agreed to act like it was a last minute plan and we didn't know anything of it.
