Y/n had always been good with children, which is why the Kim brothers had hired her to take care of their youngest sibling, Seok-Jun, whenever they were away. However, the Kim brothers themselves were an entirely different matter. They were the most successful men in South Korea, known for their cold and intimidating personas. Despite this, they were incredibly affectionate and protective of Seok-Jun, a fact that both puzzled and unnerved Y/n.
On a sunny Saturday morning, Y/n arrived at the Kim residence, a sprawling mansion perched on a hill overlooking Seoul. She rang the doorbell, her heart pounding in her chest as she anticipated the encounter with the brothers.
The door swung open, and there stood Namjoon, the second eldest. His tall frame and piercing gaze made Y/n take a step back involuntarily.
"You're early," Namjoon noted, his voice deep and measured. "Good. Come in."
Y/n nodded, stepping inside. She felt a chill run down her spine as she passed Namjoon. His presence was overwhelming, and she couldn't shake the feeling that he was analyzing her every move.
"Hyung, who is it?" a cheerful voice called out from upstairs.
"It's Y/n, Seok-Jun," Namjoon replied, his tone softening as he addressed his youngest brother.
Seok-Jun came bounding down the stairs, a wide grin on his face. "Y/n! You're here!"
"Hi, Seok-Jun!" Y/n greeted him with a smile, her tension easing slightly at the sight of the bubbly six-year-old.
Seok-Jun grabbed her hand and started leading her towards the living room. "Come on, I want to show you my new toys!"
As they walked away, Y/n could feel Namjoon's eyes on her back, a sensation that made her skin crawl. In the living room, Seok-Jun enthusiastically showed off his collection of action figures, his excitement infectious.
"Look, this one can move its arms!" Seok-Jun demonstrated, his small face lit up with joy.
"That's amazing, Seok-Jun," Y/n said, genuinely impressed. She always made sure to give him her full attention, knowing how much it meant to him.
A few hours later, as Y/n and Seok-Jun were drawing together at the kitchen table, Jin and Taehyung returned home. Jin, the eldest, was known for his sharp wit and calculating mind. Taehyung, the youngest of the three brothers, had a magnetic yet unsettling charm.
"Hello, Y/n," Jin greeted her with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "How's Seok-Jun been today?"
"He's been great, as always," Y/n replied, trying to keep her voice steady.
"Good to hear," Jin said, his gaze lingering on her a moment too long.
Taehyung sauntered in, his eyes lighting up when he saw Seok-Jun. "Hey, little man! Did you have fun with Y/n?"
"Yeah! We drew pictures and played with my toys," Seok-Jun answered excitedly.
Taehyung turned to Y/n, his expression unreadable. "Thank you for taking such good care of our brother."
Y/n nodded, feeling a knot form in her stomach. There was something in the way he looked at her that made her uneasy.
The afternoon passed in a blur of activities with Seok-Jun. As evening approached, Namjoon called Y/n into the study.
"You've been doing a great job with Seok-Jun," Namjoon said, his tone unexpectedly warm. "We appreciate it."
"Thank you," Y/n replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
Namjoon stood up, walking around the desk to stand in front of her. "We want to make sure you're comfortable here. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask."
