LEE KNOW X LIA
A young woman stood at the cash register, bored out of her mind.
She fiddled with her blonde hair.
All of a sudden, a messy haired brunette approached her, a packet of chips in hand.
"Hello, how can I help you today?"
"Um, I would like these chips, please,"
The brunette kept the chips on the counter, and the blonde smiled slightly and scanned the item.
She paid and took the chips packet, smiling.
"Thanks...uh,"
She bit her lip as she analyzed the blonde's nametag.
"Jeon Somi,"
She bowed. The cashier giggled.
"Of course, girl! You know what, give me your number. We can text and meet up!"
She spoke with a sudden enthusiasm. The brunette laughed awkwardly.
"Um, sure,"
Somi seemed happy and handed over her phone. The girl put in her number.
"I'm Lia, by the way,"
Somi winked.
"Cute name. I'll text you later, huh? See you later, Lia. My boyfriend just arrived to pick me up, so I've gotta go,"
Lia smiled as she watched her pack up her stuff and go to her boyfriend.
"Tae-Tae!"
She squealed as she jumped into his arms. He was crazy handsome with a charming personality and a bass voice.
They chatted affectionately as they exited the store, and Lia looked down at her chips, feeling more single than ever.
Sighing, she exited the store and sat down on a bench nearby, looking at the passing cars.
As she bit into her fifth chip, someone sat down beside her.
She whirled her head towards them.
"Hmm?"
She asked, her mouth full.
The man smiled at her, and she couldn't help but blush.
He was good-looking and had an amazing smile. She could stare at him all day.
Leaning back, he licked his lips.
"Had a rough day?"
He asked, looking at everything but her.
She swallowed.
"Mhm. How'd you know?"
"Well, you're sitting here eating chips by yourself the day before Valentine's Day. I bet you're feeling as single as ever,"
He sighed, fiddling with his car keys. She turned to him, surprised.
"Can you read minds or something?"
She asked in wonder. He chuckled.
"I wish. Then I would've been able to read my ex-girlfriend's mind and been saved from the heartbreak she gave me when she cheated on me,"
She choked on her snack.
"Y-you?! You got cheated on?!"
"Yeah. What's so surprising about it?"
"B-but, why would someone cheat on you? You're so..."
"Soo..?"
"... nevermind,"
