Vicem Alteram [Various PDH x f!reader]

Posting this a bit late, and for that I do apologize!

Before we dive into the questions and answers I would just like to mention (*cough* ramble *cough*) a few things :)

One year, Vicem Alteram has been out for one year-- in this year alone I've hit 400+ hearts, 18,000 reads, and have gotten 70+ followers. I'm just astounded really, and its super strange to think over the conditions that transpired when I posted the forewarning and first chapter. Like I had recently turned 18 and it was the transitional summer between me graduating high-school and starting college, on July 3rd I couldn't sleep (whats new...) and I had been going through my notes app where I had come across a convoluted and rather messy note dedicated to the planning of Vicem Alteram.

Of course a lot of what I detailed in those plans ended up slightly deviating from what you see on the posted chapters, but seeing that specific note on my phone had me pondering for a second. Making up my mind I had opened up my laptop in order to find the google doc that VA was in, when I had fond it at the time only half of the prologue was finished, so I wrote.

To be honest VA was made to satisfy an itch I had as a reader wanting to consume content but none what was available could satiate. At my core I am reader just like the thousands of either people on this site, and like many say if you can't find exactly what you're looking for than just write it yourself! There was also the fact that I always wanted to post online with my writing, mainly to hold myself accountable on periodically updating, but also on the off chance that there would be someone like me who would enjoy this concept. I just didn't expect so many people to enjoy it.

Really I will forever be grateful for not only finally taking the plunge to post this story (even if it was made a bit on a whim and was mainly to distract me from problems and issues I was dealing with) but I will also be forever grateful to you guys :)

You are the one who saw a (somewhat) blurry cover of an hourglass (because I still have not learned how to make any of my graphics *not* blurry- at this point it has become my staple) and read through the blurb. Or maybe you didn't and just saw it was in the mystreet tag and decided to give it a chance for the sake of nostalgia. Whatever the true reason may be for you picking up this fic I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for giving this a chance. Even with its slow upstart and my sporadic update schedule people have stuck through with it.

VA isn't perfect its a duck tape bound and glued amalgamation of random typos, because I always write at night for some reason, possibly out of character moments, and some bouts of cringe. But despite all of that I am proud of how far it's come; because while yes it is all of those things, it is also my first fic that I've actively stuck with. VA is very near and dear to me and i'm so glad that other people have come to enjoy reading it as I have come to enjoy writing it. Every comment I read has been nothing but abundantly kind and funny, and only serve to motivate me further-- so once more thank you for everything <3

QnA Portion Will we meet mc's parents in this fic?

Yes! Although I will have to correct you there, because it is not parents plural, but rather parent *singular*. For undisclosed (spoilers LMAO) the only thing I can truly say without giving away too much is that along with the dynamic between mc and her guardian is not going to be a reflection of a normal parental relationship. This isn't to say that mc will be neglected, at least not intentionally, but there was already a bit of hinting at the dynamic in the prologue during the phone call :3 as for the rest, I guess we will just have to wait and see.
