Summer break had just started.

Dad knocked on my door and when he didn't get a reply he just opened the door.

-"Hey Oli, are you ready for that trip you kids were talking about?" He asked as he looked around at the mess in my room.

Oh right. Kayan and Aaron had prepared a small trip for us in the woods. Mum was worried sick for some reason, but Uncle Connor and Aunt Cara had managed to calm her down and allow me and Kayan to go.

-"Yeah Dad I'll be there in a minute." I said as I quickly got up and rushed downstairs.

Kayan had his backpack on and Dad was fixing his hair and talking to him. Kayan was trying to yank himself away from Dad's grip, but it didn't happen.

-"Dad I would appreciate it if you stopped—!" Kayan started.

-"You are a Singh and you need to look ravishing like me. You get it? Ravi-Singh?" Dad said proudly.

Mum scoffed and leaned against the kitchen counter while looking at dad.

-"Seriously?" She laughed, "That's such an old joke Ravi."

-"Old joke!? Sarge how dare you?! No one gets ever bored of my amazing jokes." Dad huffed and he pouted like a child.

Stanley was playing with Lala on the sofa while watching a movie and I went to sit with him while Mum and Dad talked to Kayan about the Ravi-Singh jokes or something.

-"Hey Stan," I sat next to him and patted Lala's soft head, "What are you doing?"

He turned his head to me.

-"Oh nothing really." He shrugged. "Just sitting here. Dad will take me to the movies later." He added, his big blue eyes glinting with excitement.

-"Sounds like fun." I smiled and looked back at my parents.

Kayan came forward and twisted the door knob opening it.

-"Okay Liv come on. We are heading out." He motioned for me to get up and I followed his order.

-"Hold it—" Mum sprinted towards us. Me and Kayan exchanged glances. We knew exactly what she was going to ask.

-"Who's driving?" She asked first.

-"Jules." Me and Kayan both said at the same time.

-"No drinking. Make sure you don't crash into something and your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. And close the tent. Secure yourselves." She looked at Dad as she said that and he gave her a nod.

Something weird about my parents was that they would give me and Kayan the weirdest instructions. And they'd always look at each other when they gave those instructions. Maybe I'm just paranoid,or maybe my parents are hiding something.

I quickly shrugged that feeling off as we said our goodbyes. We walked to Aaron's house to pick him up.

Kayan knocked on the door and Ava opened the door.

-"Oh hey kids." She gave us a kind smile, "Are you excited for the trip?"

-"Good morning Ava." We both said.

-"Of course we are. One hell of a trip." Kayan smirked.

Uncle Connor came in the doorway.

-"My favourite twins." He said and drew us into his arms in a quick hug. "Hold on let me call Aaron ,god knows what he's doing." He said as he left and walked over to Aaron's room.

Aaron came with his dad some minutes later and it was then I noticed the many similarities to Uncle Connor. The same brown hair, same blue eyes and they shared the same smile. Aaron was a spitting image of Uncle Connor, and he didn't look that much like Ava.

-"Hey." He said as he walked out of the door and did that handshake boys loved doing. He turned to me and slipped his arms around me as he gave me a hug. "Are we ready?"

Uncle Connor raised his eyebrows as he coughed and smirked.

-"Okay be careful, and uhh..Don't run over anyone okay?" He said and earned a death glare from his wife. "I called Jamie and he said Jules is responsible for driving. So I suppose you are safe. If she gets tired I suggest someone responsible takes over—"

Aaron opened his mouth to speak.

-"—Definitely not you." Uncle Connor said as he waved an arm in the air and stopped his son.

-"Bye dad." Aaron said as we walked away.

We walked over to Jules's,and she was already in the car waiting for us. We all got in the car, Aaron in the front seat.

-"I'm sitting here." He announced, but Jules shot him a glare.

-"Get your ass back in those back seats you passenger Princess. Stella is sitting here, she's the second oldest anyway." She looked at Aaron who looked dumbfounded. "Shoo."

He grunted and came over to the backseat,as he dropped to the seat next to me,trapping me against him and the window.

-"Can you move-?" I said as I tried to shift my position.

-"Where to,genius?" He looked at me. "Kayan's sitting next to me,Rui next to Kayan, and Layla sitting on our feet."

  Translation:Im not moving.

-"You didn't have to explain the whole sitting plan." I laughed.

-"Felt like it I guess." He threw his arm around Kayan's shoulders. "Did you see the new update of the game?"

We picked up all the others and started heading to our destination. Jules had put the music up to its full volume and she was singing along with Stella, Layla kept kicking Kayan's feet telling him to make room for her to be comfortable, Aaron was practically yelling nonsense the whole time,  Rui was on the verge of getting out of the car at the moment and I was staring outside the window.

Jules made a turn making us almost fall from our seats.

-"Talk about responsibility." Aaron hissed as he death glares at his cousin.

-"Won't you relax? You didn't die." Jules shot back at him keeping her eyes on the road.

Kayan and Aaron started pushing each other out of the blue.

-"Dude are you even strong?"
-"Of course I'm strong!"
-"Yeah put on some muscle!"

My brother then shoved Aaron and he almost fell on me,crashing me.

-"Hey—!" I said, irritation getting best of me,despite the light feeling I got when Aaron's head landed on my shoulder. I shook my head to get rid of it.

-"Sorry." Aaron's tone turned playful.

   Jules stopped the car.

-"Okay we are here. Kayan, get the tent."

In an hour,we had set up the tent and everything we needed for the night.

We stayed outside our tent for a long time just talking to each other until it started getting dark.

-"Should we go inside the tent now?" Stella asked as her gaze wandered up to the sky. "I mean it's getting dark."

-"Oh come on." Aaron rolled his eyes, "What's gonna get us?"

-"Probably that Duct Tape killer you mentioned once when we were kids." I teased.

-"I just knew him as a name relax. And what? He's going to rise from the dead or what?" Aaron chuckled.

-"Maybe his ghost is around here somewhere." Kayan said and widened his eyes as a smile plastered around his face.
