In the bustling streets of their hometown, Nam Seojun was walking down the streets to meet up with my childhood friend.

We have been friends for more than 12 years, it was quite surprising that he hasn't pushed me away yet.

Nam Seojun hummed as he strolled down the street, heading towards their usual meeting spot. It had been a week since they last saw each other, both caught up in their hectic work schedules.

Nam Seojun hummed as he strolled down the street, heading towards their usual meeting spot. It had been a week since they last saw each other, both caught up in their hectic work schedules. Despite the time apart, Seojun felt a familiar excitement building up inside him at the thought of seeing his friend again.

As he approached the park where they often met, he saw a familiar figure sitting on their usual bench, staring at the sky. A smile spread across Seojun's face as he quickened his pace.

"Gunwoo!" Seojun called out, waving as he got closer.

Ryu Gunwoo turned his head and broke into a small grin when he saw Seojun. "Seojun! You're late."

"Sorry, sorry," Seojun laughed, sitting down next to him. "Traffic was crazy." That was such a lie that even Gunwoo knows it, Seojun doesn't even know how to commute by himself.

Gunwoo let out a low chuckle. "Excuses, excuses. You owe me for making me wait."

Seojun rolled his eyes playfully. "Yeah, yeah. How about I treat you to some street food? That should make up for it."

Gunwoo's eyes lit up, but his expression remained the same. "Now you're talking. Let's go."

The two friends stood up and started walking towards the food stalls, falling into their usual banter. For a moment, the stresses of work and life melted away, leaving only the comfort of their long-standing friendship.

As they weaved through the lively market, the tantalizing aroma of grilled meats and savory pancakes filled the air. Seojun's stomach growled in anticipation, and he glanced at Gunwoo, who seemed equally eager.

"Let's start with some tteokbokki," Seojun suggested, pointing to a vendor where simmering rice cakes coated in spicy red sauce beckoned.

Gunwoo nodded. "Great. I've been craving that all week."

They ordered a generous portion and found a small table nearby to sit and eat. Seojun watched Gunwoo take the first bite, his face lighting up with delight.

"This is good." Gunwoo said between mouthfuls. "You really do know the best places."

Seojun grinned. "Just doing my part as your dedicated friend."

As they continued to eat and chat, Seojun noticed something different about Gunwoo. He seemed more relaxed, happier even, than he had been in a long time.

It has been a long time since I finally managed to make Gunwoo open up to me. He usually just ignores me when I manage to annoy him from time to time, it's like I made it my hobby or something.

"So, how's work been?" Seojun asked between bites.

Gunwoo shrugged. "Same old, same old. Busy, but nothing I can't handle. How about you?"

"Pretty much the same," Seojun replied. "But I've been thinking... maybe we should plan a getaway. Just the two of us, like old times."

Gunwoo raised an eyebrow. "A getaway? Where to?"

"I don't know yet," Seojun admitted. "But somewhere we can relax and escape the daily grind. We deserve a break."

Gunwoo smiled. "You know, that actually sounds like a great idea. We haven't had a proper vacation in ages."
