Comparing to the cathedral's underground tunnels, the gas station's ones weren't that confusing. The only problem was that they were going up and down. You always had to find some stairs leading you to some other tunnel up or down. The paper rectangles pinned on the walls at the entrance of each tunnel helped the trio locate themselves a bit.

"Okay, now where the fuck is the garage or wherever they park their vehicles?!" V felt like burning the whole place down. "Uh.. we could take the jet and try to pilot it?" N suggested despite knowing how lame the suggestion was. "For the hundredth time, we don't know how to land!! And no, if you're thinking about Uzi, she's still unconscious!" They were going down another tunnel when the sound of footsteps and an angry female voice echoed through some tunnels not far away.

It took the trio a little bit more than a minute to find the garage in their fear of being spotted by someone. V swung the doors open and waited until N came in to block the doors. "Just in case," she said, dragging some heavy boxes in front of the door. There was another jet in a corner of the room and a half - crashed car which seemed like it had known better days. V was pacing around, N looking in worry at Uzi, whose visor was displaying a few internal system and regeneration messages. The male disassembly drone had tried the remove the memory stick from Uzi's side various times but it still won't move.

"WHERE ARE THE TWO DISASSEMBLY DRONES AND EXPERIMENT SUBJECT N°009?" Ingha shouted. "I, I can explain!" they shouldn't be too far away since V and N could actually hear their (very heated) conversation. "Hurry up, we don't have much time left!" Since disassembly drones were never taught how to land, they just took the car and hoped it was going to last for a good solid 50 minutes, just what it took to escape from Ingha's labs. The trio was about to leave, but little did they know some workers were playing an old Uno card game in a room nearby. The reason they didn't hear V and N's convo was because they had country music turned on. The sound of the vehicle starting up caught their attention and two of them left their chairs to check.

Since V's leg still hurt, N suggested he be the driver. But if V thought Uzi's driving was horrible, N's wasn't worse actually. As soon as the two workers came in the garage, N ran into them and fetched the garage doors' keys on the way. Surprisingly just as J was coming in, alerted by all the noise. He'd occasionally bump into something but nothing major. They didn't wanna damage the car more than it was already damaged. "Too late, bitch," V grinned, looking out the window.

They were driving to the bunker when Uzi woke halfway, a bit confused and feeling dizzy. "UZI!!" N cheered. Was he not driving, he would've hugged her and took care of her in the best of ways. Perhaps even kissed her, but he was seriously afraid he'd mess it all up. He was looking in the backseats, where Uzi lay, at least two seatbelts buckled. N insisted they buckle three since no one was sitting behind.

The car crashed into a couple frozen human skeletons, burping black clouds of smoke barely visible in the night sky. "Good job N!" vociferated V. "Now we've got no way of going to the bunker!" But when she glanced at the male drone, he was affectionately smiling at Uzi who, still a bit weak, was smiling back at him. She poked him with her finger, but he didn't seem to notice. He was still staring at the worker behind him, as if she were the only thing left in the entire world. At some point they both started blushing and that unnerved V.

"Hey, not to interrupt anything, but, we have yet to leave!" "Oh." N seemed to finally realise that he'd crashed the car. "But we can still fly, you know? It's night now." A bit annoyed at N's logical and actually fine suggestions, she pushed open the door and went out of the car, deploying her wings behind her back, railgun in her hands. Uzi told her she could give it back once they were at safety.

Uzi and N followed, deploying their wings as well. The worker was so shaky N had to hold her by her shoulders, not realising that his hand was slowly sliding to her waist. "Hold up, I'm gonna see if there's anything we can use in the car."

"Hey Uzi, you okay?" "Um, yeah, I.. I'm just a bit confused at the experiment's purpose. Why did they do that for exactly? I mean.. all i really did was destroy their lab. If they were expecting anything else, then it sure didn't happen," she mumbled, her voice weak. "How do you feel?" "A bit drained, if anything." She looked up at N, hand around his waist. Dried oil was staining his coat at the sides, like he'd been stabbed a lot of times in different places.

"Uzi," N whispered, tasting the beautiful, appealing name on his tongue. Kinda like honey. He didn't know what honey tasted like, but humans often used to associate it to romance . He'd read ballads from time to time when bored, but he'd always wondered what was true love like.

What if Uzi really was his true love? They got along pretty well and.. hold up. A soulmate is someone in who one can find their lover as well as their best friend. The best friend part was actually a thing, but he didn't know for the lover one. Again, he might be falling head over heels for Uzi, but that doesn't mean she does.

His yellow eyes locked with her purple ones, he imagined himself gazing at the stars, Uzi by his side. Him playing in her hair. Cupping her face in his hands. And kissing in the moonlight like lovers do.

Uzi was shaking. Not only from pain but also from nerves. AND WHY COULDN'T SHE JUST HIDE THE PURPLE BLUSH ON HER VISOR??!! Sighing, she pulled N in a tight embrace, her head buried in his chest.

They stood like that for what had to be half a minute, N's head on top of Uzi's one, his hands on her waist, but they got interrupted by V who pulled a shocked Pikachu face.

"Oooookay, something's definitely going on here." They both pulled apart in embarrassment, blushing vividly to V's amusement.

"Whatever's going on between you two, let's go. There's just this old, super adorable knife we're definitely taking with us."
The knife in question had a dark red handle and a sheath of the same colour decorated with some navy blue, cream and carmine charms and stones.

Not daring to question V, the trio departed for the bunker, flying through the night starry sky.
While V was busy admiring her knife, N and Uzi were playfully pushing and hitting each other in the back, sometimes stopping the beating of their wings, dropping in a tight, warm embrace and flying up again.
N really liked the touch of Uzi's head on his chest, her hair caressing his face or neck.

The trio had managed to get itself out of trouble again. They were safe. For now at least.
