Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital was in with the usual chaos of a Monday morning. House stormed through the corridors, his cane thumping aggressively against the tile floor. His recent argument with Wilson replaying in his mind like a broken record.
Wilson, on the other hand, tried to focus on his patients. The fight with House had been much more serious. He said words that he couldn't take back. Through the day, he found it increasingly difficult to concentrate, his thoughts drifting back to House's cold words and the bitterness in his own voice.
Wilson storms off too the elevator, House following him. He tries to close the doors, but House uses his cane to keep it open. They awkwardly stand in silence for a moment, Suddenly, the lights flickered. The elevator shuddered and came to an abrupt bounce, throwing them into darkness. The emergency light flicked on, casting a dim, eerie glow over the small space.
"great.." House muttered sarcastically, "just what we needed."
"House." Wilson broke the silence "we should talk."
House snapped back: "about what? How your always judging me? How u always think you know what's best for me?" he sighed. "You know I don't ACTUALLY mean half of the things I say, right?"
Wilson nodded slowly:"I know. But it doesn't make it hurt any less."
House took a step closer, his blue eyes locked onto Wilson's. "I'm sorry," he said, his voice uncharacteristically soft
Wilsons eyes widened in surprise. "What did u just say?"
"I said im sorry" House repeated, meeting Wilsons soft gaze "I... if your gone, I'll be alone."
Wilson stepped closer, surprised but touched by the rare apology."I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have said those all those things." They stood there for a moment, the tension between them shifting from anger to something else entirely. House hesitated, then slowly reached out, his fingers lightly brushing Wilson's arm. Wilson took a deep breath, his heart racing. He closed the distance between them, his soft gaze dropping to House's lips. Without thinking, he leaned in, pressing his mouth gently against House's.
The kiss was tentative at first, both unsure but undeniably drawn to each other. House responded, his hand coming up to cup the back of Wilson's neck, pulling him closer. The kiss deepened, growing more passionate as they finally let go of their fears and doubts.
Suddenly, the lights came on, and the elevator doors slowly opened
"Guess being stuck in an elevator isn't so bad after all," House murmured.
Wilson chuckled softly, his heart full. "Yeah, not bad at all."
