Arun squeezed Seetha's waist and pulled her closer. She closed her eyes as she noticed his head bending down. She tiptoed and his lips gently met hers. She gasped and took a step back. She then slowly opened her eyes to meet his. She noticed something that she hadn't, before. There were no words spoken but she quickly went to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, giving him access to lift her and place his lips on hers. This time it was passionate. She wasn't shy to kiss him back. Her hands reached out to grab the back of his hair. He continued to kiss her cheeks, her lips and then her neck.
He noticed the goosebumps she was getting but it was very evident that she was enjoying this, new found, feeling. It was exciting. Although she felt shy, it seemed normal and natural. Their lips locked again and when it parted momentarily, Arun whispered, "udhattula mutham kudutha ellam kozhandhai porakkadhu makku." (Liplock does not make you conceive) She chuckled shyly and whispered back, "Adhu ippo enakkum theriyum. Enna vidungo naan keezha poren." (I know that now. Let go off me. I have to go downstairs) Arun pulled her closed, "mmhmmm.... Vida maaten. Namakku kalyanam aagi rendu maasam aagardhu ippo thaan idhuve nadandhirukku. Ippo poi vittuttu poren nu sollariye. Indha anyayam ellam unga ooru pillaiyrukku porukkadhu enga ooru pillaiyarukkum porukkadhu. Theriyumo?" (No I won't let you go. It has been over two months since our wedding and this is happening only now. You are saying you want to leave me now.this is unfair) He nuzzled her neck, tickling her.
Seetha squirmed, "Achacho... vidungo. Enna Kichu Kichu mootadhengo. Ippo naan keezha pogalaina indha paati mela vandhuduva." (You are tickling me. If I don't go downstairs now my grandmother will come upstairs) Arun reached for her lips again mumbling, "unnoda paati kitta pothi moodindu thoonga chollu. Ippo thaan ava pethuku vivarame varadhu. Adhukulla nandhi madiri." (tell your grandmother to go to sleep. Her grand daughter has grown up only now) Seetha giggled, "Ayo paavam paati. Aana enakku konjam bayama thaan irukku theriyuma?" (Poor grandma but I am a little scared) Arun pulled her to lie down beside him and asked, "Enna bayam?" (What are you scared of) Seetha quickly sat up gathering her pallu which had left its place, revealing a lot more that she was ready for, getting a pout from her husband. She said, "Amma enakku cholli thandha kozhandai eppidi undaagum nu. Aana nekku bayama irukku." (my mom told me about the baby and that's why I am scared)
Arun sat up and held her hand, "nee enna nambariya? Naan unakku pidikaama, unakku kashtam kudukara madiri edhuvume panna maaten maa. Aana neeyum ennoda nelamaiya konjam purunjukko maa?" (Do you trust me. Will I do anything that you don't like. Will I hurt you? But you too need to understand my needs) She chuckled looking at his puppy face. She tried to get up saying, "Ippo naan keezha poren. Neenga thoongungo." (Let me go down now. You sleep) But Arun pulled her close to him hugging her. Their lips met yet again. This time it was she. It was a new found excitement. She liked how it made her feel. He gently moved her moving from her lips to her neck. He slowly removed her pallu, to which she did not object this time. The sweet, shy, innocent Seetha was experiencing new feelings. She realized that she was surrendering to him touch. Although she knew that this had to stop, she did not want it to.
A woman who, just a few minutes back, had pulled up her pallu to cover her upper body was now lost in passion. This moment was interrupted by the creaking sound of the wooden steps indicating that someone was approaching the room. Seetha let her husband devour her lips once again as she buttoned up her blouse. She whispered, "Paathela enna thedindu aalu vandhaachu. Ippo naan poye aaganum." (Look someone has come to get me. I have to go now) She gently ran her fingers on his hair and said, "innum konja naal poruthukongo" (hold on for few more days)and kissed him quickly. She heard a knock on the door and yelled, "idho varen". (I am coming)
She slowly stepped out adjusting her saree and her hair. As she walked down the stairs and to the mat, to lie next to her mother, she heard paati whisper to Raji, "unnoda ponnu ippo thaan avaroda pondaatiya mareerka". (Your daughter has become his wife only now) Seetha smiled hearing that and blushed thinking of all that had happened upstairs.
