Waking up to Emerson's alarm screaming at me was the last thing I wanted. I picked up his phone looking at the time with a groan. Five fucking am. Was he a madman? Surely he didn't want to leave this early. "I'm up! I'm up!" He groans pulling me closer by the waist.

"You're the reason we are up this early." I remind him.

"Yeah. Our flight leaves at nine. I'm not driving twenty-seven hours and I doubt you want to drive it." He said with a matter-of-fact tone.

"Come on. I need a shower and I am sure you do as well." I smiled rolling out of his arms and off the couch.

"Noooo. Come  back and cuddle me." He wines reaching for me.

"No sir. We have a flight soon. And we still need to stop for breakfast." Running up the steps I wait for him at the top. "Come on Em!"

"I'm coming." He groans.

"You'll say that later." I giggle running into the bathroom.

I hear him chuckling when he reaches the top step before entering the bathroom with me. I was already out of my clothes waiting for the water to warm up. He snakes his arms around my waist resting his chin on my shoulder.

"So when exactly will I be saying that?"

"Maybe on the flight? Time to join the mile-high club."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah." I nod checking the water temperature with my hand. "It's ready."

He lets go so we can step into the shower. Closing my eyes I stand under the streams of water wetting my hair and warming up. I could feel Emerson's eyes on me but I kept mine close. "Need something?"

"Just admiring you baby." He said. I could hear the smile when he spoke.

"You're cheeky. I love you."

"I love you."

We switched places and I began to lather the soap into my hair as I watched him this time. He was wonderful. His curls stuck to his neck as they got wet. His mesmerizing eyes stayed closed as his beautiful lashes rested on his undereyes. He looked at peace and I was in love. "I can feel you staring." He whispered.

"I'm sorry. You're just...stunning."

"You flatter me, darling."

"No, I mean it, Emerson. If only you could see you how I see you. You're breathtaking." I meant everything I said. He was so fucking perfect. I wasn't sure how I had gotten lucky enough to call him mine. I certainly wasn't anything beautiful. Nothing compared to his exes. I had a bit of chub, and my tummy had a few stretch marks. My hair was hard to maintain and I hated my smile, yet here he was, this fucking angel telling me I was perfect.

"Oh hush baby girl. You're the perfect one in the relationship." He smiled taking my hand as he pulled me under the water helping me wash the shampoo from my hair.

"You clearly live in delulu." I giggled.

"No ma'am. That's you." He smiled big.

I shook my head grabbing my loofah from behind him. After I finished I got dressed and then went and sat down on the couch waiting for him to be completely ready. Whoever said ladies took forever to get ready had never met Emerson Barrett. I had my outfit and light makeup done in fifteen minutes. He was reaching the twenty-five-minute mark. "Come on babe! We aren't going to have to stop for McDonald's and I'm going to have to get freaking airport food." I sigh.

"I'm coming. I'm coming." He laughs coming down the steps.

I shake my head jumping on him. "About time Barrett." I giggled kissing down his neck.
