Sophia Alice Lombardo.

That was Sophia's maiden name prior to Luciano marrying her, and as he sat across from her and her mother he couldn't help but to clench his jaw. Not only were they playing with him, but they took this divorce as a joke, and Luciano didn't like people laughing at him.

Tapping his fingertips against the oak desk, he waited impatiently for Sophia's lawyer: Jacob Caruso. Sitting directly next to him, was his lawyer Victor Feraru. His mind was racing, and so was his heart. He wanted out of this marriage, badly.

"Okay," Jacob entered the room with a cup of coffee in his hand.

Taking a seat next to his client and her mother, he sighed. "What is the living situation, currently?" He questioned.

Sitting up in his chair, Luciano placed his elbows on to the oak table. "We don't live together, we live in separate homes."

Writing something down on his notepad, Jacob asked another question. "Who initiated the separation?"

"Me." Luciano said flatly.

Sophia eyed him, anger evident. She was mad that he was actually going through with this. She knew that he had to find some one else.

"And why is that?"

Victor sat back and let Jacob question his client, he wasn't worried. He had faith that Luciano would walk away with this, with everything in tact.

"I initiated the separation because I needed space. I felt smothered in this marriage. Pressured to buy love, I felt as if I was being used. And not in ways that were beneficial to me, I honestly wasn't comfortable living with her after she said a prejudice remark to me."

Sophia rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. "You have no proof of me saying anything prejudicial."

"You denying it is all the proof I need. I know what you said Sophia, word for word. I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the same bed as you, living under the same roof as you. You speaking on my race made me uncomfortable, so I wanted you out of my personal space."

Sophia sucked her teeth, "Luciano, none of this matters because I'm pregnant! And I plan on keeping my baby. Yeah, he offered me an abortion, which is why I want a divorce." She shrugged, flipping her hair over shoulder.

Victor slammed his hand down onto the oak table, "You have yet to show my client here and proof of pregnancy. All you showed was a test, it's been two weeks and you have yet to come back with a blood test from your OB/GYN stating that you're pregnant and how many weeks you are. So until we have proof of pregnancy, that card is off of the table. So, next."

Picking up his file, he flipped through it pulling out a piece of paper. "Now, here are seventeen screenshots of your client." He pointed to Jacob, "Offering my client sex, in exchange for gifts. This cross-appeal in my view? Is an exercise of gold-digging."

"Sophia got with my young, black, wealthy client here to milk him for everything. She'd even go the lengths of faking a pregnancy, Sophia is obviously having a nervous breakdown and is a mental threat to my client."
