Pink, yellow, and purple hues illuminated the sky as Kyrei sat with her back pressed against Luciano's King sized head board. The entire condo—let alone the bedroom was fit for a king. The humongous headboard that held up the bed gave the bed height, so Kyrei being five foot three, struggled to get on to the bed at times.

Her tired eyes fixated on the sun that was rising just outside of the luxury condo. The windows in his bedroom felt like a gift to her, she felt like a kid in the candy store each time she peered out at the amazing view.

For the past week, this became a routine for Kyrei. Before her and Luciano fell asleep, she stared out at the bright city, the cars passing by, the commotion. Before bed time, she watched the sun set—paying close attention to every aspect of nature.

Finding solace in the warm, inviting colors of the sky Kyrei brought the lit blunt to her lips, French inhaling all while feeling her heart warm from the breathtaking view in front of her.

The feeling of cold finger tips grazing against her thighs broke her stare away from the sun rising. Looking down at a tiresome Luciano whom had his arms wrapped around her waist, Kyrei inhaled the blunt once more.

Luciano laid with his arms wrapped on her waist, his heavy head resting in her lap. His low, heavy eyes peered up at her. If she wasn't so in denial about their fling—she'd be able to see the pure adoration in his eyes. Her face being the first thing he seen when he arisen, was fulfilling to him; and he never wanted it to end.

"I always catch you up around this time. What you doing?"

Laughing lowly, Kyrei inhaled the blunt once more, leaning her head back against the headboard. "Watching the sun rise. It's beautiful, I love the sounds of the birds chirping. The eerie silence under all of that noise.. cars and buses passing by every now and then. I don't know it's therapeutic for me." She admitted.

Licking over his lips, Luciano let out a yawn. "I used to like watching the sun rise and set, but I became too busy to the point where I ain't even have that privilege no more." He sucked his teeth.

"How do you have the privilege to do it now?" Kyrei questioned.

Looking up at her, Luciano snaked his right hand under her butt, trailing up the side of her hip, giving it a squeeze. "A certain girl came around.. and I started to make time for shit like that. I'll miss out anything to be with you.. for real."

Blushing, Kyrei passed him the blunt in hopes that he'd stop staring so deeply into her soul. She wanted to be with Luciano, and badly—but she couldn't shake the twinging feeling that something bad was bound to happen.

For the last two days, she couldn't shake the feeling of a quiet storm brewing in their lives. Lurking in the shadows, waiting to rain down on them—she didn't know why she felt the way she did, but she just hoped whatever it was? Wasn't too bad.
