Outside the building containing the thermal oscillator.
A fairly dense frozen forest.

Both Finn and Rey became transfixed with surprise, dread, and fear. In front of them in the distance appeared Kaylo Ren, who was activating his light saber. Kaylo Ren's red lightsaber light illuminates the surrounding area with eerie light.

In the end, Finn was the first to wake up from his shock. He quickly pressed the detonator in his hand, and shouted, "Watch out, Rey!"

Behind them was the muffled rumbling of the explosive explosions they had planted inside the thermal oscillator. The vibrations from the explosion resonated outside the building, despite the absence of a visible explosion.

But Finn also noticed that none of the droids that had accompanied them were anywhere near them. The dark troopers had walked ahead to secure the route, and the security droids were still lagging behind. Finn wondered how Keylo Ren could avoid the Dark Trooper. But it was certain that only the two of them currently had to deal with Kaylo Ren.

Orbit of Planet Ilum
Task Force B on maneuvers.
Imperial III Class Star Destroyer 'Dark Moon'.
Main Bridge.

"Admiral, sensors indicate an explosion inside the thermal oscillator! The thermal oscillator is damaged but still functional." The sensor officer shouted.

"Then what about the shield?" asked Admiral Ileri.

"The shield of the thermal oscillator is down!" said the sensor officer.

"Good. Order our fighters and corvettes to re-attack the thermal oscillator. They can destroy it without needing our help. They can destroy it faster than we have to maneuver it into low orbit." Admiral Ileri spoke.

"Yes, admiral," said the communications officer.

"Now, abort our maneuver to low orbit. Order all our ships to return to high orbit and blockade the planet Ilum. They may have already called for reinforcement. We must be prepared to deal with them. Order the star destroyer 'Ilama' and its escorts to continue to low orbit and protect our team on the surface." Admiral Ileri ordered.

"Yes, admiral." said the communications officer.

"Oh yes, order some of our ships, which carry heavy turbolasers, including our ship, to orbit above those monster weapons. We are going to attempt to destroy it from orbit as a backup plan in the event that the destruction of the thermal oscillator fails." Admiral Ileri ordered.

"Yes, Admiral," said the XO while giving a number of orders to the various stations on the star destroyer's main bridge to carry out Admiral Ileri's orders.

From the deck and the view outside the main bridge windows of the star destroyer 'Dark Moon', it could be seen that the star destroyer was beginning to move at full power into high orbit. The vibrations from the floor of the star destroyer showed that the star destroyer was using full power to cancel their original downward path back to high orbit. Similarly, the other ships' engines are burning very brightly, indicating that they are working at full power.

Main Bridge

"Admiral Ilari is ordering us to stay in low orbit to protect our troops on the planet's surface. The rest of the fleet will return to high orbit to guard against possible enemy reinforcements. The thermal oscillator's shield is down." The XO said this to Admiral Kalaksa.
