After a few days it became clear that Ivyclan wouldn't stop until every Hollyclan cat was dead.

A border patrol had been attacked. Several were severely injured. Leafpetal had died.

As the clan brought the young warrior's body out for vigil Silverstar padded forwards and touched a paw to Leafpetal's body.

"She was such a lively apprentice. Always so eager to learn." she murmered.

"Leafpetal had her whole life stretching ahead of her!" hissed Dapplewish angrily, "We should attack Ivyclan!"

Blazesong touched her mother's shoulder, "The clan will miss her."

Dapplewish stared at her daughter's dead body, "She died so young."

Lilypool smeered some mint onto Leafpetal's body to disguise the scent of death.

The clan went around saying things about the young she-cat.

"She was so optomistic as a kit, she always cheered me up  when I was feeling sad or angry." said Dapplewish.

"Leafpetal never whined or complained when I told her I didn't have time to play with her." added Blizzardclaw.

"She was such so excited to become a warrior and listened carefully to everything I taught her." said Silverstar wistfully.

The clan gathered around Leafpetal's body to sit vigil.

Silverstar sighed and settled down beside her body.

As the sun came up Silverstar got to her paws, careful not to disturb Dapplewish who was still grieving for her fallen daughter.

A tail touched her shoulder. Silverstar whipped around to see Lilypool.

"Relax." she said, "It's just me."

"Oh."

"We need to make a stand." sighed Lilypool, "Ivyclan has killed so many cats."

"Including Ripplefrost and Rosekit."

It made Silverstar feel guilty but she had learned to move on. Just like she told Mapleleaef to do all those moons ago.

She thought she had excepted their death when she was a kit but it had tken longer than she thought.

"Will you do something about it?" asked Lilypool.

"I don't know." admitted Silverstar.

I could visit Nightstar I suppose...

"I'm going to visit Nightstar." announced Silverstar.

Lilypool looked alarmed, "What?"

Silverstar ignored her, "But what if he attacks me?"

"Exactly."

"But then again I need to find out what he wants so I can try bring peace, peacefully. But wait... Starclan gave him nine lives. That means they must approve of him."

Lilypool shifted her paws uncomfartably, "I'm not sure it was Starclan who approved of him. It could've been the Dark Forest."

"I'm going to visit him." decided Silverstar, "There's nothing you can to do to stop me." she added as Lilypool opened her mouth to speak.

"I wasn't going to try stop you. You're the leader, I'll come with you."

"Thank you."

Silverstar tapped Frostfeather on the shoulder, "Frostfeather! I'm going to be away for a while."

Alarm flashed in her eyes, "Where are you going?"

"Just to visit Nightstar. I'll be fine."

Silverstar took a deep breathe.

"Are you ready?" asked Lilypool.

"Yes."

They journeyed to Ivyclan territory where they waited for a patrol.

A group of Ivyclan cats found them, lead by Flowerlight.

Silverstar narrowed her eyes at the tortoiseshell warrior, last time she had seen her she was fleeing from the battle. Did she know her kin were in Starclan?

Lilypool was gaping at Flowerlight like she had come down from Starclan.

Flowerlight scowled at them, "What are you two doing?"

"We want to see Nightstar."

She hesitated, looking at her companions.

"Don't look at me." grumbled Violetshine, shooting Flowerlight a glare. "I'm not Nightstar's most trusted warrior and his new deputy."

"What are you looking at?" snapped Flowerlight, Lilypool looked away, muttering under her breathe.

Silversta could catch the words, "Double crosser" and "Traitor." and "Hollystar would've been so dissapointed."

"All right." decided Flowerlight, "Come with us."

As Lilypool stalked past her, Flowerlight leaned towards her and whispered something in her ear.

Silverstar looked at the Ivyclan cats but they were too busy glaring at them to notice.

"What did she say?" asked Silverstar.

Lilypool hesitated, "She said, "I still never break my promises, especially not one I made on the day of my warrior ceremony."

"What does that mean?"

"I guess we're going to find out."
