Aura's P.O.V *Present*
My eyes slowly fluttered open, the bright sunlight filtering through Sunghoon's bedroom terrace door causing me to squint in discomfort. As I looked around, my mind still hazy and disoriented, my gaze landed on a blood bag hanging from an IV pole next to me. A small tube trailed from it and disappeared into my wrist.
At first, my memory was fuzzy and fragmented, unable to recall what had happened to me. But as I looked down at my other wrist, wrapped in a bandage, the horrible and haunting memories came flooding back.
With trembling fingers, I delicately brushed over the bandage, gradually unwrapping it to see the damage underneath. My heart pounded with dread as I braced myself for the worst, but to my surprise, there was nothing there but a faint scar- a reminder of how close I had come to being drained of all my blood by that monstrous man.
I let out a deep sigh as I tried to sit up, feeling a slight twinge of discomfort in my ribs but overall relieved that the pain had subsided. Despite everything my body had gone through, I felt pretty okay, except for the lingering dizziness in my mind.
My thoughts drifted to Sunghoon, my heart quickening as I pondered his whereabouts and well-being. The image of that vampire forcing my blood down his throat vividly flashed through my mind, a moment of violation that I knew he never desired. And then there was the memory of him carrying me from the field, a moment so surreal that I questioned if it had been real or just a figment of my imagination.
It seemed utterly impossible for him to step into the sunlight, I mean, I had just watched him burning under its rays' moments before. Yet, a very clear image of him hovering over me, leaning down, and cradling me in his arms played on repeat in my mind. But how could this be?
I gingerly swung my legs over the edge of the bed, taking a deep breath before carefully removing the IV needle from my wrist. With a slight wince, I rose to my feet, wobbling a bit as I regained my balance and steadied myself. I let out a groan and pressed my palm against my forehead, trying to shake off the dizziness that threatened to overwhelm me.
I needed to find Sunghoon, it consumed my thoughts entirely at the moment. He had gone through just as much as I had and If I didn't find him and make sure he was okay, I knew I would go crazy just waiting around.
A chill ran through my bare legs, the realization hitting me that I was only clad in a loose, oversized black shirt that hung down to my knees. The thought of finding pants crossed my mind fleetingly, but exhaustion clouded my thoughts as I staggered towards the bedroom door and yanked it open.
I must have appeared like a complete disaster, stumbling down the corridor barefoot, half-dressed, and visibly disoriented. Yet, I couldn't bring myself to care about my appearance; all that mattered was finding Sunghoon.
As I stumbled into the living area I was met by shocked eyes as Niki, Jake, and Heeseung looked up at me from their seats.
"Aura!" Heeseung breathed out in relief as he appeared by my side in an instant, enveloping me in a warm embrace. Though the pressure of his arms caused a twinge of pain, I couldn't help but smile softly as we pulled away, grateful for his presence.
"Noona, we were starting to get worried that you wouldn't wake up." Niki sighed with a hint of concern, as both he and Jake stood up and approached me. Their expressions were filled with relief, and they didn't seem to mind my disheveled appearance, only caring that I was okay.
"Huh, how long have I've been out?" I question them confused, seeing how my wrist was completely healed I could only assume I've been out for a while, but I wasn't sure how long that time frame could be seeing as the fact I was half vampire might allow me to heal faster than your average human.
