It was dark. Distant stars twinkled in the sky like jewels in this foreign land. A large throne stood atop a mound of dirt, towering over the barren landscape. A hulking figure sat on it and below him stood thousands of strange creatures with beak-like mouths and razor-sharp teeth, creatures that knelt before him. At his side stood two young women- if you could call them that. One had bright green skin, beautiful reddish-brown hair, and a scowl adorned on her face while the other was even less like a person, all her normal body parts seemed to have been replaced with shining blue robotic ones, all except one eye.
The crowd in front parted, revealing three more strange creatures, if not stranger. One resembled the Maw, only larger, stronger in terms of physical strength, though perhaps not stronger in the way his brother was. Behind him was a woman- one of his three sisters and maybe even his favorite- who had worn a pitch-black helmet with small horns that curved backwards; and a man, or whatever he was, even larger than him with ugly green skin.
The largest of all these six was the man on the throne. He looked down at the three, who had knelt before him.
"Welcome, my children," he whispered, his quiet but loud voice echoing. "What news do you bring me? And... where is your brother, the Maw?"
The trio, who had taken his welcome as the cue to stop kneeling and were standing up, bow their heads in perfect synchronization. The woman stepped ahead. "He... he is gone."
The man on the throne did not seem to feel remorse for the loss of his 'son', or at least did not display it on his features hidden by the shadows of his towering seat.
"Did you bring his body? You must know that we are to leave no evidence?"
"Yes, Father," the woman said. "But not of the Chitauri soldier, I am afraid. It is being examined by the Asgardians so they can learn who placed the attack and it is too risky to retrieve it."
"You may leave now, Proxima," the man said in a hoarse whisper. "Take your brothers, the Cull Obsidian and Corvus Glaive with you."
They bowed again. Lead by Proxima, they left.
"My daughters," he said again in that hoarse whisper, turning towards the two young women at his side. "You will go into the Asgardian palace and get the body of the soldier. Make sure that the Asgardians do not detect you. We have a change of plans." He grinned, his pale, yellowing teeth shining in the faint light of the stars above. "We must attempt to get thegirl once again. I underestimated her power. But I shall not now."
A single, weak beam of light from a star above fell on his grinning, purple face as he formulated another master plan.
A/N- ...And two hundred miles away, a boy called Harry Potter awoke with a start. Just kidding, my mind is just slightly, a teenyyy-tinyyy, veryy little bit obsessed about him. Anyways, guess who's out of her break in oblivion and somehow survived her exams!! I'll start posting regularly again from now onwards, though I don't have a proper updating schedule yet. Hope y'all liked this(and the next one too)!
