I think everything went black when he said those words. My brain cells suddenly stopped functioning, and I literally froze in my seat.

Do you know that feeling na parang bigla ka nalang may maririnig ng 'buzz' sound? Ugh!

"B-But, you're old!" I said nang makabawi, I still couldn't believe it.

Chandler looked away and he murmured something. My forehead creased, he's confusing me!

"Hindi ko alam kung dapat ba akong mao-offend sayo." He sounds problematic.

"I'm just 4 years older than you, Hezekiah. Stop the old thing, don't rub it on my face."

"That's the point, my point, Chandler. You're 4 years older than me. Yes, I like you. But wouldn't it be awkward for you? What if someone saw you with a girl like me—"

"A girl like you? Why? What's wrong with you? Anong pake nila?" He cut me off.

My jaw literally dropped. What? Hindi niya ba ako naiintindihan? I'm thinking about his reputation! My concern is him!

"W-Well, they will judge you!"

Nangunot lamang ang noo niya.

"Aside from being insecure, I also don't want to embarrass you..." Halos mapangiwi ako.

He looked at me like what I just said was ridiculous, I scratched my nose to distract myself because I can feel my cheeks heating up. I can't believe I confessed right in front of him, alright? Well, I know that he already knows it, but it still feels different. I'm not that innocent naman para hindi 'yon manotice!

"Don't think about their opinion." He said, like my concern for him doesn't matter. "I don't care about them, anyway." He even added.

"Pero, Chandler—"

"Do whatever you want to do, I'll wait. I can wait, Hezekiah."

I feel like I'm in the cloud 9 while walking. After  that talk with him, I am really flushed to the point I left him agad. Well, I didn't know how I should respond to Chandler earlier when he said those words. It's a good thing din naman na binigyan niya ako ng pagkakataon para makaalis.

I still can't believe it. My long time crush said...  He will wait, he can wait! Oh my, is this really happening? Someone, please slap or pinch me right now!

Hindi ko pa din maisip kung ano ang dapat kong gawin, but avoiding him after our talk is not part of my option anymore. My poor young heart wouldn't bear it.

Hala, ang drama naman ni me!

But, did he mean those words, though?

I shook my head, never mind. I'm happy the whole time, Heart noticed it and she even asked but I refused to tell her the real reason! She's my bestfriend, but I don't want Chandler to feel uncomfortable around us. She will be nosy, that's for sure.

"Pumunta ka lang sa library ganyan ka na! Bakit, kinausap ka ba ng libro doon?" She even laughed.

"What? You're crazy!" I giggled as I slapped her arm.

Her eyes suddenly widened as she pointed her finger at me. "Oh baka naman kinausap ka ng crush mo sa library? Aahh!"

My eyes widened too as I shook my head repeatedly. "That's... That's impossible!"

"Hala, sige, Hezekiah. Kapag ikaw nabuntis—"

"What mabuntis?! Oh gosh, you're OA! I hate you for 5 seconds!"

This girl! I really hate her mouth sometimes. I don't even know such things about that, and I'm not interested! I'm too bata for that, geez! Now, she's ridiculous.
