and here the story lies, shawn was wondering around toronto, going to places he only dreamed of until he saw a little girl who was just like him, she was in love with the weather.
and one night, when she was eleven, he saw her being oh so stubborn about not being able to play in the rain. but he didn't blame the mother. it was harsh, but the little girl didn't care. he watched her. he saw her dad come home and saw her rush downstairs to greet him.
shawn smiled at the sight, the little girl in love with her family and not going through the rebel phase like most eleven year olds. he saw her run down but he also saw her mother yell no.
he looked back at the mother who was yelling for her daughter to back off and he saw the little girl open the door with the widest smile, only to see a lightening struck hit her dad's car.
he saw the little girl collapse and start crying. he wondered, is this what it was like for laur? he felt so bad for them, remembering what happened to his family and felt so bad. almost like a pang of guilt.
he saw the weeping family and the dead father back and forth, seeing the little girl's scarred memory burn in the back of her head.
it broke her.
