they had fallen asleep in her room, with shawn's arm draped around her shoulder.
that was their moment. their moment that defined them. the silence of her bedroom and the wind howling coming from her cracked window was the moment that was theirs.
later that night, shawn slipped away from her, running away from her house. he was scared for one reason and one reason only.
he fell in love with her.
he couldn't stay there. not anymore. he couldn't let her feelings develop into something more. he couldn't. she had a beating heart while shawn had nothing.
he then started crying, which was hard for a ghost. but he was in so much pain, he couldn't help it.
shawn then went back to tailing her, vanishing back into oblivion but still watched over her.
he saw how terrified she was when she realized he gave her no contact information. he saw the pain in her eyes and couldn't bear it.
he felt pain in his barely existent heart. he had no idea that this would hurt this bad.
