"Come on, Bishop." Roman was putting on the charm, but Bishop was immune to his charming nature these days. Bishop was standing in her home office, surrounded by monitors that were scanning things tht Roman didn't understand. Roman had showed up the house late that nght with intel that was legit – his words. He knew that he had to go to Bishop to confirm that the intel was actually legit as he hoped it was. "How many times have I steered you wrong?" Roman asked, giving her a brilliant smile.
Bishop had her arms against her chest. "Repeat that sentence back, this time slowly."
"I haven't steered you wrong that many times... it's been what, once, maybe twice-"
"Twelve."
Roman thought for a moment as Bishop stared him down. "In the past two years, right, jsut twelve times. That's not a lot." Bishop turned to her computer set up, bringing up a document that showed how many times someone came to her with intel from the team. And how often it was correct.
In the past six months, the twelve times that Roman came to Bishop with "amazing intel", they were all fake. Every last one of them – and one-time Roman thought he could be sly and have Bishop give him Miss America's contact information. "Wha-what are those tallies next to my name?" Roman asked.
"Oh, all the intel you've given me."
"See, I told you I'm good for my word."
"No, no, this is all the intel that you've given me that turned out to be false. As of the first six months of this year, you are 0 for 12."
"0 for 12?" Bishop nodded. "That's can't be-" Bishop brought up the document where she had Roman's "amazing intel" on it. "Okay! I'm serious this time, Bishop!"
Bishop set her hand on the back of the chair. "You said that when you almost had me stalk Miss America," Bishop pointed out.
"This time's different!"
"You also said that with the Miss America one."
"Can you forget about that?"
Bishop sighed. "Fine," Bishop knew the risk she took looking the intel that Roman had. There was one time that Bishop thought the intel was good, then she discovered that someone was using Roman because he was too focused on their looks than anything else. Bishop held out her hand, Roman placed the phone into her hand to look over the intel.
She sent it to her computer as she sat down in front of screens. Roman stood behind her, looking at what Bishop was doing. She set Roman's phone down onto some kind of charging stand, syncing his phone up to her system to make sure it wasn't some kind of virus. "Whatcha doin'?"
"Making sure it isn't a virus."
"That can happen?"
Bishop cracked her knuckles. "Yes, phones can get viruses, Roman. It's called malware." Bishop said as she got to work. She glanced at the time – Han was an hour out from coming home with Nori. "I do see at least two viruses on your phone-" Roman went to snatch his phone, but Bishop smacked his hand to stop him from disrupting the scan. "I'll clean it, don't worry." Bishop said, eyes flicking back and forth between the screens.
