Avery's POV:"so she just left? didn't say a word?" jade asks in aggravation as i tell her about the poor decision i made last night. i made a decision with lust and not my head.
"mhm" i say as i continue to do my makeup in front of the mirror in my floor.
jade gets up from my bed and starts to walk over to me. "i mean are we even surprised? i told you not to get involved with her." she says.
i dart my eyes over to her in annoyance. "i know jade. believe me, i know. you can't say anything to me that i haven't already said to myself." i tell her.
she looks down at me but this time i see a touch of sadness in her eyes. pity.
"i know avery, im sorry. i just don't like seeing you hurt. you're one of the purest souls i've ever met and you don't deserve that." jade says with a sad smile.
i give her a tight lipped smile. "that means a lot to me jade. thank you."
our attention is pulled from one another as my phone buzzes. we both look over to the floor where it lays and it's an instagram notification. as we lean over to look, i immediately lean back up in shock while jade just leaves her mouth open.

i quickly turn off my phone and look at jade. "we're not talking about it. let's talk about something else." i tell her giving her pleading eyes to please not enter another conversation about paige.
she just gives me a smile with a small nod and walks back over to my bed to sit down. "so am i going to get to join y'all on your ride today?" she asks, changing the subject.
i finish my makeup by applying my tinted lip balm and i stand up from sitting on my floor, "of course jade, you know you never have to ask." i tell her.
as i'm bent down, looking in the bottom of my closet looking for the sneakers i always ride in. "do you think i could ride with liam.." jade says in almost a mumble.
