A/N: Take this as a special one off oneshot that based with the books storyline. Mostly due to this Halloween Special never being able to fit into the books storyline.

And now, let's turn of those lights and hopefully give you all a spooky fun read.

Halloween for the Holt's had always been rather normal and the same. They'd eat noodles while either half dressed in their costumes or just before they get ready in their costumes. The pumpkin is always carved the night before October 31, so they can all get as messy and gross when carving as wanted without risk of stinking of pumpkin for all of Halloween.
While they finish of their costumes and finding their Halloween themed bag or bucket to trick or treat with. The other adult would put the two pumpkins out in their garden and pour the bags of sweets to give out in their witches bowl, a few free from chocolate bars placed on the Halloween plate the bowl sits on top.
Once all are dressed and ready, the two siblings would head out together with one of their parents. Watching the parent chosen to stay behind that year light the candles in their pumpkins and head back indoors after waving them off.
For an hour or an hour and and half they'd walk around the block to trick n treat before heading home. Once home they'd swap sweets they don't like with each other and gather sweets they knew their parents liked that filled a small breakfast bowl and offer it up to them as their thanks for helping with Halloween.
For the rest of the night they'd watch scary and spooky stories, suitable for all ages at first. Taking turns to give out the candy with knock on the door before finally blowing out the candles at dead on eight pm.
It wasn't anything special but it was special to them all, even as the Holt children grew up, nothing changed. They'd trick n treat, watch movies and just enjoy Halloween together.
When both Katie and Matt grew to be adults, they tried keeping to their Halloween traditions. Spending Halloween at one of their homes, in a costume and watching scary movies together with their favourite snacks. Lance joining them every year unless he heads home to help take his nephew and niece trick n treating instead.
Hunk would join the Holts as well as did Nyma. All grabbing a sleeping bag to sleep with once they were all ready to pass out. Taking turns to give out sweets once Matt and Nyma gained an house.
And when Peter was born, they all planned to start adding trick n treating to their Halloween night. The moment he was able to eat solid foods, they started taking him out for trick n treating together.
The adults mostly wearing one of the two outfits they've all kept as an adult. Swapping between them every year to keep with the costume expectations on Halloween. All of them looking like an odd group with four to five adults helping an toddler to wobble around to trick n treat. Nyma sometimes having to work during the end of October, leaving it 50/50 if she joins or not.
