Side Ships: Hunay. Rolo x Nyma. Hinted Katt.
All the chosen men and Kat came to an complete stop as they stared towards the empty and creepy looking manor building a large estate.
It was old and clearly not been someone's home in generations.
Almost pleading to be a home to all haunting ghosts desperate for a taste of the living again and all blood thirty monsters, waiting to capture themselves some fresh prey.
None of them knew what they would find when being sent out but they were given their orders to check the place and land out. The estate ran for miles and was in the middle of nowhere. With how much land was linked to the manor it almost felt like it's own mini kingdom safely tucked away from war.
The higher ups were hoping to turn the abounded manor into a field hospital for soldiers that would heal soon enough and be able to be sent back to battle. For the wounded that needed a couple of months to heal before they were able to fight instead of the few days or weeks back in camp.
It was a good idea and it'd help the doctors have a stable place to operate and care for those that had a living chance. To have those who wouldn't survive treatment or travel be able to lay in rest peaceful in camp as they take their final breaths and have those that could live be sent to a better and more stable field hospital.
With the land being so large and far away, it was away from any battles and war. Would be kept safe from any wondering French soldiers. The wounded and the doctors and nurses would be mostly safe and out of reach of wars harsh hands.
It was a good plan on the higher ups part but it still meant an unit had to check the spoken place out and make sure it was clear. As well as stable and safe to act as an hospital until even after the war if needed.
To make sure the grounds themselves were liveable for long stay.
Hence the chosen men were chosen to head out and take a look over the lands and the manor itself. To decide themselves if it would stand as a hospital or only be a problem in the future for them.
Kat was even allowed to come due to the promise over the travel and stay were meant to be safe. Much safter than the camp itself right now and Keith was happy to drag his daughter along with people who'd protect her until their own final breaths then at camp where she'd be left to fend for herself if an attack came to be.
No one else minded the two year old joining them. All thrilled at the chance to bond and spend more time with her while it was safe to do so. Taking turns to carry her when her little legs grew tired or it was her nap time.
