[New Orleans, Louisiana, 2011] Scarlett spent the night with Cami, trying to free her from Klaus' compulsion. She ended up calling Davina. The young witch had discovered that Marcel was manipulating her that same evening, so she did not hesitate for a second to come. She came with her friend Josh, who knew the pain of breaking free from hypnosis. The poor bartender was squirming on the floor, screaming in pain. Scarlett and Davina, who joined their power to set Cami free, felt guilty for putting her through this.
- Oh, gosh, it hurts, Cami groaned.
- We're terribly sorry, Cami, Scarlett said as she kneeled in front of Cami, offering her a glass of water. It's the only way to break the compulsion. Drink this.
- Believe me, I know what it's like, Josh intervened as Cami drank from the glass. You're ok, and, hey, all theses notes that you made, it's very momento of you. Nice work.
- We've been at this all night, I don't understand what's happening to me. I don't understand any of this, Cami said, mentally at the lowest.
- But you will, Davina stated. We will unlock every stolen memory, undo every piece of mind control that any vampire has ever done to you. When we're done, you will understand all of it, and you'll be free.
Scarlett saw how bad Cami felt. Tears were shimmering in her eyes.
- We can stop if you want us to, Scarlett proposed.
- No, Cami ordered, don't stop. I want to remember everything.
With Cami's permission, Scarlett and Davina continued to release Cami's buried memories. Combining her magic with Davina's, Scarlett realized just how powerful the young witch was, perhaps too much for her own good. Davina had regained the powers of the other three Harvest girls and Scarlett feared it would end up being too much for one person. However, Scarlett was brought back to reality by Cami's cries of pain.
- You should start to feel it, like a weight lifting, Davina asked as she kneeled in front of Cami.
Cami didn't answer, she was trying to catch her breath.
- And your cheat sheets are about to make a lot more sense, Josh added as he placed the file Cami had created on the ground, burning his hand when it came into contact with a ray of sunlight. He winced.
- I promise, as soon as the world stops hunting me, I will find the daylight ring spell, Davina promised to her best friend.
- I know, he answered, just don't worry about that right now.
Cami took the first sheet of her file and read it. It was no longer gibberish to her, she started to remember.
- I remember why I wrote this, she announced to the others, I found a picture of Klaus and Marcel from 1919, she added panting as she sat on the couch. Klaus compelled me to go out with Marcel, to spy on him. That's what he said yesterday, before he told me to forget. I'm remembering.
