[New Orleans, Louisiana, 2012]
A month had passed since the witches of New Orleans had declared war on the Mikaelsons. They had made revelations that led to Rebekah's departure. In fact, one of the witches, Genevieve had told Klaus the reason why Mikael had come to New Orleans in 1919. It was actually Rebekah and Marcel who had contacted him, wanting to get rid of Klaus. He obviously took it very badly and initially wanted to kill Rebekah, but Elijah made him see reason and he simply banished Rebekah from New Orleans, and forced Marcel's exile. 

Since the Crescent Wolf Pack was free from its curse, Hayley lived with them. Much to the regret of Nikolas, who visited her every day and subtly tried to convince her to return to the Compound. As for Grace, she was trying to explore her relationship with Simon, now leader of the vampire faction. Same for Georgia, who explored her budding romance with Cami. And Elijah decided to unify the factions to make New Orleans a safer city for his family, and in particular to minimize the risk of death for Scarlett.

Scarlett and her son's relationship had improved considerably during this month. Nikolas understood that he had to stop wasting the time he has with mom, he stopped avoiding her. It made her happy deep down, but she was still lost about this situation. She felt like she wasn't a part of the Mikaelson family, she still had difficulty accepting her new identity.

And since all her memories hadn't come back to her yet, she wondered what she should do if that never happened. To try to take her mind off things, and to try to get closer to Elijah, but also to protect her unborn niece and her children, even it felt weird to say that, Scarlett had decided to help Elijah restore peace to New Orleans.

After several weeks of effort and negotiation, they finally succeeded in bringing together the leaders of each faction at Saint Anne's Church. Father Kieran represented the humans' interests, Genevieve represented the witches, and Simon represented the vampires of the French Quarter. In order not to scare away the factions, Elijah had decided not to include the werewolves for the moment. Scarlett tried to dissuade him from leaving them aside, but it was no use.

- St Anne's has long been neutral ground in our city, so it's only fitting that we gather in this chamber at the behest of Elijah Mikaelson and Scarlett Marshall to bring harmony to this place we call home, Father Kieran started the meeting with those words. Thank you all for coming, he added before sitting down.

It was weird for Scarlett to hear Father Kieran call her Scarlett Marshall. Because since Georgia is her sister, her maiden name is supposed to be Riley, even if it was a thousand years ago. And furthermore, she married Elijah, so her family name is technically Mikaelson. Despite the fact it felt terribly weird to her. 

- Yes, thank you for agreeing to put hundreds of years of conflict aside, to try to establish lasting peace with us in New Orleans, Scarlett continued with a smile. Welcome to all of you. These are the rules of the city according to Marcel Gerard, which of course no longer apply, she stated as she twisted the paper and ignited it, turning it into ashes which fell to the ground.
