Driving for ten hours straight doesn't seem possible until you have to actually do it. Glancing over at Olivia's face makes me want to scream in pain, and anger, it should be peaceful not pulled into a frown from the nightmare I know she is most likely having.

The stab of guilt that hits me makes me want to throw up. I should have gotten her out of that hell a long time ago, but I let my own fear get in the way, fear of dying. Thinking back now death for the both of us would have been more of a salvation.

Convincing myself it would be best to find a cheap motel to rest at for the night before my body gives out from exhaustion. I have to practically carry Oliva to the room, help her in the bath and onto the bed.

After all that, I can not help but fall onto the bed and pass out right next to her.
