Chapter 18

One month later....

This month has been stressful, yet filled with relief. There has been alot of sleepless nights. Full of crying, panic attacks, and love making. Knowing Dean is dead, has sent me into a whirlpool of emotions.

I feel happy about the fact my tormenter is gone for good. Terrified Axel would get caught, and taken away. I've cried over the fact that Dean's blood is on Axel's hands. It doesn't seem to phase him though, he loves the fact he's the cause of Dean's death.

Olivia, and I are still living with Lorelei. Axel keeps insisting that we live together. I feel this is best though, if just for a few more months. It's hard for me to leave Olivia. She is slowly starting to find herself, with Shawn's help. I will forever be thankful for him helping her.

Sitting here right now with Axel, having a picnic. I can't help but look back on my life. All of the pain, the tears, the loss. I feel grateful I have survived. There was so many times I should have left this life. Instead I'm here, in the arms of the man I love.

"What are you thinking about, Darling?"

"Just how lucky I am to be here, with you."

Loving the feel of him nuzzling his face into my hair. He leaves tiny kisses along my neck, making my body feel like it's on fire.

"No, I'm the lucky one. You're my life now. You're stuck with me."

"Oh no! The horror!"

Grunting at my sarcasm, he rolls me under his body. Laughing from the way his fingers dance across my body in a playful torture. My life is filled with laughter now, no tears. When he finishes his assault, he lowers his lips to mine. The passion between us always overwhelms me. Pulling my lips from his, I look into his eyes. Filled with promise of a beautiful future.

"I love you Axel."

Giving me his signature grin, I feel my heart start to flutter in my chest.

"I love you too, Darling."

Who would have thought, that I would have found happiness under the Reaper's Protection.
