.-.-.-.-.-.-.-PROLOGUE-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Lia was of the royal heir. She was the second child of the Great King Wade, and step-daughter of Queen Hanna. Lia was the opposite of the golden child Sarini. Sarini was golden, she was the favorite child of Wade and the previous wife, Queen Renée. However, after the tragic death of the great Queen Renée, the golden child Sarini, was plunged into great mental hazard. Her mother was all she had, her father whom was the king, he didn't have enough time to spend with her. Only hours late in the night, though she held no fault against him. She held fault against Lia. Lia was whom who 'killed' sweet Renée, the queen.
Lia was the cause of the death. The brunette child with grey eyes and with a slim body was the one to blame. Sarini was going to making sure that Lia would remember that, for life long guilt. Little Lia didn't realize as a young child that her early years were not as great as Sarini. At the age of two, the king was plunged into deep depression once again as his large kingdom was put through a war.
As his depression deepened, Sarini blamed Lia. If mother was here, Wade wouldn't be depressed. Throughout that year Sarini was told to take care of her sister but she did not want anything to do with Lia. She told the servants that King Wade wanted them to get little Lia ready. Sarini was to engage in her own special treatment as she got away with blaming everything on her little sister.
As years edged on, Lia was 8 years old and Sarini reached the age of 11. Sarini broke things on purpose and blamed them on Lia. Lia would be scolded by the servants. Since the war was also over, King Wade spent. every free minute with a woman that went by the name Hanna. She wasn't of direct royal decent, just the third daughter of a wealthy man that the king recently met. Rumor had it that they had been courting for a year now.
Sarini didn't favor Hanna. She did not want her to take her mothers' place. She even voiced her own opinion to Hanna stating that she didn't want her to take her mother's place. Hanna's answer was not the usual 'Its okay, I will try not to.. Nobody will take your mothers place,' nor was the response a 'Well, your going to have to deal with it.'
The response was simple and understandable to a ten year old girl at the time. 'Oh Sarini, I would rather die than take your mother's place. I would rather seem like another woman that just helped take care of you so your father doesn't get depressed much or fall into cracks of desperation.' Sarini soon grew to love Hanna. Hanna looked much like Sarini too, they both had platinum blonde hair and blue eyes, however Hanna's eyes were more green than blue.
Hanna and Wade were soon engaged and married later that year. What happened to Lia? She was raised by the servants. Sarini, Hanna, and Father always were outside playing while little Lia who was at the age of thirteen watched. She was always left alone, the only company she had was the stable horses and the hounds. Lia was blamed for things she didn't do. She was blamed things that her sister did wrong but lied to stay the golden one. Lia was blamed for feeding the horses too much even though her sister told how much to give them. She was blamed for knocking the vase of flowers even when she was in her room reading. Her father no longer believed her pleads of innocence, neither did Hanna. Lia simply nods and took the fault and did as told.
This was her life for many years of her life. She was abused, misused, misunderstood and most of all lacking the average love and treatment that every young girl needs. She wished that one day she wouldn't be called stupid, worthless and desired to be loved. She wanted Hanna to tell her she was beautiful, that she was not a bad step-daughter, that she loved her anyways. However, Lia never got that. She never got pleasing words, not ever, she was verbally talked down to think she was nothing but a jinx in the family. A little girl that 'killed' her mother. Lia 'was' that worthless little girl. She was that little princess that could have been brave, heroic, beautiful and loved. She however, was never gave the chance to prove any of those because of Sarini.
