Chapter 9 - The Wedding at the End

June 2016- Hawkins Indiana

Will was helping Trevor get ready for the biggest day of Trevor's life.  Today Trevor was marrying Colby Sinclair and Will was so happy for him.  As Will helped to adjust the bow tie on Trevor, he couldn't help but to admire the young man in front of him as his face shown back in the mirror.  "This reminds me of back when you were 10 and you were dressing for the elementary Christmas Concert and you had trouble with your tie."  Trevor gave a thin smile "yeah, and you helped me tie it.  Isn't it funny I still have long hair like I did back then."  Will spoke up as he did the final correction of the black bow tie.  Trevor's white tux gave the perfect contrast to Trevor's longer raven hair and prominent eyebrows.  Trevor had slightly curlier hair than Mike along with a broader face but he was definitely Mike's kid.  "Your hair is fine Trev.  Don't let anyone tell you different."  "You're right Dad, it's just I want to try a shorter haircut, especially when it is warm out.  Colby told me no way though, she likes running her fingers through my hair."  Will laughed "I like running my fingers through Mike's hair too.  You both have such great hair while I have this stick straight central European type hair."

Trevor scrunched up his eyebrows "gross Dad.  Now I have Dad and your image of that stuck in my head."  Will sounded mock offended "Are you saying it's okay when Colby and you are tender with each other but Dad and I can't show affection?"  Trevor responded "it's just your my parents and you aren't suppose to be intimate because your old."  Will's large caterpillar like eyebrows angled hard upward "excuse me?  Were only 21 years older than you Trev.  Just because we're your parents doesn't mean our sex drive went away."  "Gross!  I don't want that image stuck in my head Dad."  At that moment Mike came in the room carrying a small cooler with water and pop.  "What is going on here?"  Will looked at Mike "Trevor thinks it's gross that I love running my fingers through your hair and that we get intimate.  He thinks we're too old for that stuff."  Mike smirked at Trev as he took his hand and squeezed Will's ass "well Trev, tonight when you are puking in the toilet at the hotel, we are going to get it on, right baby?"  Will smiled sweet at Mike.  Trevor rolled his eyes very hard "I would tell you both to get a room, but I don't want to encourage you both.  If I can't do my duty tonight, I blaming both of you!"  "You're such a drama queen.  You realize we know you and Colby aren't virgins anymore, right.  You hiding your sleepovers back in College doesn't mean we didn't know what was going on."  Trevor turned red "no more talk of this please.  And for the record I'm not going to be drunk tonight."  Will and Mike snorted at that.  "Fuck you both"  Trevor said with no heat as he hugged both his Dads.  Will was just as happy right now as he was a year and a half ago as he married Mike at the courthouse in Jackson.

As the relatives of the Sinclairs and the Wheeler-Byers were in Lucas's church, the congregation turned around to see Lucas walking up his daughter to the altar.  Lucas looked older and grey was showing in his hair, but it just made him look more distinguished.  Colby looked happy as she walked down the aisle.  "Who gives away this bride?"  The minister  asked.  "Her mother and I" Lucas said.  Colby went to Trevor as Lucas sat next to Max.  Will sat right next to Mike as Mike held Will's left hand.  El, Gareth and the rest of the Hopper-Byers clan filled out the pew.  The Wheelers sat right behind them in another pew with the Hendersons with them.

The ceremony went on and the two used the standard vows the minister used at most weddings instead of the two making their own.  At the end the minister said you may kiss the bride and Trevor didn't disappoint.

The reception and meal were held at the American Legion hall.  Will and Mike hired Charles Sinclair's cousin from down South to cater the BBQ meal.  Lucas's eyes lit up when Mike suggested this and they rented smokers for Mr. Sinclair to work his magic in.  Pork and Beef were smoked and Mr. Sinclair's bean recipe used brisket instead of pork so the Byers could eat it.  Will remembers ordering 250# each of beef and pork at Bradley's Big Buy and the manager being surprised at the sale.  Will sat next to Ted and the way Ted was moaning as he ate told Will that the food was a hit.  Will and Mike told the Sinclair family that they would pay for all the food, but the Sinclair's had to take the leftovers home with them.  The way Lucas and Dustin tore through their BBQ ribs made Will smile inside as he knew both liked good ribs.
